Today we tackle the Oakland Raiders cheerleaders and superfans. Like most of you, we are itching for football season to start. In the midst of the dog days of summer, many get sick of baseball and start turning their attention to football. Don’t blame you a bit. To help quench your thirst, BC is going on a 32 team, 32 day, 32 gallery tour of NFL cheerleaders & superfans.
The Raiderettes are going to be vastly more interesting and successful than the Raiders themselves. Could be a long year in Oakland!
Is Carson Palmer really the answer for the Raiders? The guy had one, maybe two good seasons and they broke the bank to bring him to Oakland. The dude is slow, injury prone and lacks that edge you like to see in your quarterback. Between him and Darren McFadden, you’re looking at around 16 games lost to injury. Have fun.
Speaking of McFadden and his frequent injury issues, the Raiders let their biggest insurance policy walk. RB Michael Bush is now a member of the Chicago Bears where he will split the load with Matt Forte. If you are Oakland, why not keep Bush on board? Couple that with the loss of QB Jason Campbell and the Raiders could be in for a long year in the AFC West.

The Oakland Raiders have wrapped up their first 3 days of practice in preparation for the 2012 season at their training camp facility in beautiful Napa Valley. Two days of padless practices followed by a day of full pads and full contact. These players haven’t strapped on their pads in months, so you can imagine [...]
Offensive Coordinator Greg Knapp is returning to the Oakland Raiders this season, after spending 2007 and 2008 with the team for the same duty. Although his offense didn’t leave much to be missed by Raiders fans (ranked 23rd and 29th in total points), it looks like, after the first three days of Training Camp, that [...]
Oakland Raiders running back Taiwan Jones has been running with the second-team offense, according to Paul Gutierrez of csnbayarea.comFantasy Spin:His competition for the backup role, newly acquired Mike Goodson, was running with the third-team even before injuring his hamstring. As often as fantasy stud running back Darren McFadden gets injured, determining the running back to use...
All present and accounted for. That was the report by Raiders coach Dennis Allen as he prepared for his first training camp practice as a head coach. The last transaction was the signing of fifth-round draft pick Juron Criner, the final non-first-round pick in the league to sign. "You never know what's going to happen in those negotiations but we felt pretty good all...

Oakland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey doesn't put much stock in the numbers he put up last season, even though he had career highs in catches, yards and touchdowns.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen isn't a big statistics guy, either. He'd prefer to see production on the scoreboard and in the standings.
Still, it's hard to ignore the progress Heyward-Bey made last...
Running backs Taiwan Jones and Mike Goodson were surrounded by reporters Saturday, each fielding questions about the other, the Raiders offense and the team's backfield.
Rarely have two backup players garnered this much attention.
Then again, given starter Darren McFadden's history of injuries, finding a capable understudy has taken on an added significance for the Raiders...
Oakland Raiders wideout Denarius Moore sat out Wednesday's practice with a slight hamstring injury.Fantasy Spin:Like any rookie, Moore was inconsistent last season, but two of his three big games came after Carson Palmer assumed the starting quarterback role. With a full training camp together, this combination could be very dangerous. Sports Network projects a healthy Moore...
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen was asked if they’re interested in possibly signing free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress.
“I’ll say this, we’re going to look at any options that are out there that we think can make us better,” Allen told Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com. “Whether or not we make any moves or not, that’s to be determined. But...
Rumors are flying of a potential fit between the Oakland Raiders and free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress. It would be surprising if the Raiders took a chance on Burress due to the depth, youth, and talent the team already has at wide receiver. However, the Raiders should always kick the tires on a player if they feel he has a chance to help the team.
Burress also comes with...
For the first time since week 17 against the San Diego Chargers, the Oakland Raiders put on the pads today at training camp. With the contact practice, the Raiders' defensive line was able to show their depth and ability to rush the quarterback.
Rookie defensive end Jack Crawford, who the Raiders drafted in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, showed his ability to disrupt...
A few days into training camp and the Oakland Raiders' new coach and the team's veteran quarterback are reading from the same script.
"Absolutely," quarterback Carson Palmer said.
"Absolutely," Raiders coach Dennis Allen responded a few minutes and feet away.
The line that preceded the identical refrains was straightforward: Is Carson Palmer -- who...
A man whose nickname is the “The Wiz” conjures up ideas of the man being known for being smart, magical and or being a performer in the 1978 urbanized retelling of the “Wizard of Oz”. Those terms will often refer to a happy ending to the man with that nickname. However Steve Wisniewski is known [...]
Al Davis is gone and a completely new regime is in charge. New GM Reggie McKenzie was hired this offseason and fired Hue Jackson, their previous Head Coach, replacing him with new Head Coach Dennis Allen. Unfortunately, this new regime has been completely screwed over by the old regime. Hue Jackson’s trade for Carson Palmer left them without a 1st round pick in the 2012...
