49ers announce roster move ahead of Mexico game vs. Cardinals
Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers announced they have elevated defensive lineman T.Y. McGill from their practice squad.

The 49ers are preparing to play the Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Kickoff is scheduled for tonight at 5:15 p.m. PT, 7:15 p.m. local time. San Francisco is currently a 10-point favorite in the Week 11 matchup.

This is the third consecutive game in which the 49ers have elevated McGill from the practice squad. Three is the maximum number of times a player can be elevated from the practice squad. If the Niners wanted him available again, they would need to promote him to the active roster.

On Saturday, the team ruled out defensive lineman Arik Armstead for the upcoming international matchup. He is still dealing with foot and ankle injuries. In addition, San Francisco listed another defensive lineman, Samson Ebukam, as "questionable" due to a quadricep injury.
