Remember when Deion Sanders reported that two teams had asked about
trading for Michael Crabtree? If there was any truth to that, the 49ers
should have filed tampering charges. On Monday,they did just that. The New York Jets were reported to have contacted Crabtree's agent Eugene Parker
about trading for Crabtree. However, Crabtree's rights cannot be traded
until March 1. Until then, Crabtree belongs to the 49ers.A couple years ago, the 49ers were penalized a fifth round draft pick for their tampering with Bears LB Lance Briggs. The Jets have denied contacting
Crabtree's agent. However, the Jets are still coveting a big name
receiver. They were looking to get Percy Harvin in this past draft, but
Minnesota took him at #22.The 49ers are doing the right
thing at this moment. Knowing how difficult this holdout can be for the
team, at least they can make some positive noise by making a statement
about their organization. The 49ers don't want to be pushovers and they
