The 49ers somehow found a way to win their fifth game of the season. They had to beat not only the Lions, but the fans, the refs and even themselves. The 49ers committed 15 penalties and still found a way to win, thanks in part to the running of Frank Gore and a defense that shut down the mighty Megatron. Calvin Johnson did have 100 yards receiving but he failed to score a TD in a game for the first time this season. The 49ers offense struggled, but with 2 minutes left they came up when they needed to when Alex Smith hit Delanie Walker on 4th down for the winning score. The 49ers defense again held a rushing opponent under 100 yards for their 28 consecutive game. They are 5-1 for the first time since 1998. Have won 4 in a row for first time since 2001 and first 3 game road winning streak since 1992. Go Niners it feels good to be 5-1.
