5 Panthers Slated for Impact in OTA’s

The Carolina Panthers are about to get their team OTA’s underway. Charles Chandler penned a column about 5 players who could really make an impact for the Panthers during camp, and you’d be surprised at who is on the list. One player who won’t be at the Panthers OTA’s which get underway today is 6th round selection QB Tony Pike. Pike is unable to practice because of an agreement between the NFL and NCAA. Pike is unable to join the Panthers until graduation. Players are allowed to participate in rookie camps but not voluntary OTA’s. The same situation occurred in Minnesota with RB Toby Gerhart. In related news, the Panthers signed TE Jamie Petrowski this week to a 1 year deal. Petrowski has spent time with the Colts and Titans.
