It remains to be seen whether the Jets decide to deal Darrelle Revis, but the odds are still in favor of it happening.
ESPN's Adam Schefter said on NFL Live Wednesday that the star cornerback is "60-40" to get traded to the Buccaneers.
This bit of news came on the heels of a Tampa Bay Times report which said the Bucs believe New York's asking price is "currently too high."
Both teams are locked in a proverbial stare down, with neither budging on the appropriate compensation for Revis. It's been reported that Tampa would give up first, third, and fifth-round draft selections -- and hand Revis his much-desired megadeal.
While that may seem like a steep price to pay for Revis, who's rehabbing a torn ACL, the Bucs are seemingly intent on acquiring the four-time Pro Bowler, and the Jets are just as desperate to unload him.
