by Tracer Bullet, Staff Writer I had really hoped I could get away with talking about this. I had really expected this stupid controversary would blow over by now. For reasons I don't understand, my QB, Donovan F. McNabb, has once again attracted controversy like biscuits attract fat girls. No, I understand why biscuits attract fat girls. Donovan attracts controversy the way my front door attracts gay hustlers a?" no one can explain it, but it keeps happening. As everyone in the enti...

I think what upset most people, at least it upset me a lot, was his attitude. He laughed it off. BUT, my biggest concern here is not that DMac didn't know, it's Reid not knowing. That phat phuck gets paid to know these thins.

I look at it like this. I am surprised that he didn't know based on the fact that most everyone else in the free world who claims to be a football fan knows that a game can end in a tie. Now with that said, do I really care that he didn't know, no not really. I don't think it changed the outcome of the game from McNabb's point. I am more concerned that he had a really horrible game and didn't seem to be to upset about it. Everyone is entitled to a bad day at the office, and it happens to all of us. Unfortunately for us fans we see a pattern of bad days from the team, and it is easier to hit on the guy how made a statement that seems really foolish, and one of the last things we remember after being made really upset over what we just saw. So McNabb is catching the brunt of the frustration while in reality it really should be directed more at the coaches and their rediculous and continous stupid play calling, which puts the team into situations that are hard to get out of. Upto the Bengals game, McNabb really hadn't played poor games. He has gotten off to some really slow starts that might hurt the team in the long run, but I believe it has as much if not more to do with the play calling and the game planning. You could point to a lot of reasons why this team loses games that it should have won this year but the main reason is poor play calling and then not great execution in important situation. So I agree while I really don't get why McNabb and God knows how many other NFL players didn't know a game could end in a tie, I think it had very little to do with the outcome of the game. Also as one last comment, even if he didn't think a game could end in a tie, he absolutely had to know that the playoff games wouldn't end in a tie, and his comments didn't indicate that so it really makes you wonder about him as a leader on the team. You expect your leaders to know this kind of stuff and that is where the problem for McNabb came in. Bottom line the coaches needed to know and they need to change the game so that the players can win. If not then they need to go and get someone in here who is going to change the game plan and play calling so we aren't so predictable.

People don't care so much about the not knowing the rule, it's the stupidity in mentioning it. And then go on to elaborate his ignorance to a playoff/SB situation. He singlehandedly, AGAIN, made it about something other than the game itself. It makes me wonder if he says these stupid things just to detour our thoughts about how bad he's been playing.I mean, Christ, he's a Syracuse graduate!

Mom, I never thought of it that way, but you're right, it looks like he was diverting our attention from his lousy performance.

Performance(s). He has to be smarter than that, right?
