Stripe Hype:
Cincinnati Bengals running backs coach Jim Anderson was at BYU yesterday working out RB Fui Vakapuna.
At just under 6′ and 244 lbs., Vakapuna could be more suited to a fullback role. The Bengals have been looking for a fullback to replace Jeremi Johnson, who was cut last season.
NFLdraftscout.com ranks Vakapuna as the 19th-best FB in [...]

Donovan McNabb returns to lead the Eagles.
The one question that every Eagles fan has, will finally be answered on friday night. How good will Donovan McNabb be? The answer is: as good as ever. When looking at the various articles that are published about McNabb and his injury, it seems as if the sporting world simply takes it for granted that Donovan will be ready to play on Friday...

Ocho Cinco dialed into one number: numero uno
There has yet to be a person of able body and sound mind who didn't occasionally need a dash of humility.
Receivers just seem to need bucketfuls.
Javon Walker was almost humbled this offseason until he found free-agent savior Al Davis.
Brandon Marshall was humbled by Jay Cutler, who was humbled by John Elway, who presumably is humbled whenever he peeks at the Arena Football...
How McNabb helped tame Ocho Cinco
He leaned against a makeshift bar in the ESPN green room before yet another in a seemingly endless string of TV appearances leading up to Super Bowl XLII in Arizona last February, and in an instant, Chad Johnson went from cordial to downright crotchety.
A reporter called Johnson's cell phone to ask about Johnson's repeated demands that the Cincinnati Bengals trade him....
Bengals need a Ringer on offense
ALL ABOARD! Next stop Cincinnati!
Here's what I want to hear come April, "With the first pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Javon Ringer, running back from Michigan State University."
Michigan State running back Javon Ringer is the man, and as a Bengals fan, I look forward to him being our top pick. You think I'm kidding? Then you are...

About this Jamall Broussard character?
The Miami Dolphins have acquired special teams hopeful Jamall Broussard from the Cincinnati Bengals. The article I read claims he will bring us some much needed speed on the return team and at wide receiver. I've never seen him play so I have no idea what to think about this move by the Dolphins. Ple...
Baltimore's African white-naped raven
Baltimore is training a live bird to serve as a team mascot. I bet PETA hates this sort of thing. Hopefully they complain loudly. Not because I don't like the prospect of having a real, live African white-naped raven flying around the stadium, but because PETA never raises much of a fuss unless the quote-unquote offender is a high-profile target, and unless the Ravens win a bunch...

Chad Johnson wants out of Cincinatti and he says it has everything to do with his team's inability to compete.

Cincinnati is Cursed
Can Cincinnati ever catch a break in the game of life? Their hero, Pete Rose, bet on baseball. The owner of their beloved Reds, Marge Schott, hated blacks and Jews. And their lovable Cincinnati Bengals have a long history of a) losing games and b) getting thrown into prison. What's next? How about the Cincinnati Bearcats?
Colts Courtney Roby Boosts Chances With Kickoff Return
Courtney Roby gave the home crowd a run for its money Thursday night at Lucas Oil Stadium. Roby returned a kickoff 103 yards for a touchdown in the Indianapolis Colts' 27-7 preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
