Chadhenne1
He had a decent career at Michigan and could full well become the jewel of the draft. But for the Baltimore Ravens, he's built too much like the QBs of past and present. Skittish in the pocket, and a short-order chef in big game situations. If four years in the Big Ten couldn't cure him, doses of AFC North competition aren't going to be good for what ails him.

  • Anyone but Matt Ryan!
  • I might be partial because I played against Henne in high school (he went to Wilson) but the Ravens would be lucky to get this kid...he has a phenomenal arm and is very poised. Theres no way you can compare him to Dilfer, Boller, Wright, etc.
  • Yeah, I'm actually a fan of Henne, too. Good score in the second round, I think.
  • Henne was poised at Michigan? Really?

I must've missed something. I don't have anything against him, but he's too much like what the Ravens have always had.
  • He's nothing like Dilfer, Boller, or Wright so wheres your basis for your argument? Dilfer and Boller have/had candy arms, Chad PENNINGTON is comparable to them....not Chad HENNE
  • I agree with the Pennington/Henne comparison.
  • We'll take him. To me he looks like that quarterback that just never put it all together in college but could develop into a good pro. Miami may be building an all-Michigan offensive unit.
  • hmmm so Manningham in 3rd, Hart in the 4th, Arrington in the 5th? haha
  • I think Parcells will stick with Beck
  • If you read my entry, I don't question his arm at all. I encourage you guys to take a closer look at the writing.
  • Do not agree with skittish and short order chef labels. Definitely not a #8 pick for sure, Henne would be a steal at 38 although he won't drop that far.
  • Do any Ravens fans believe Troy Smith will get a shot or deserves a shot? The guy has guts, determination and talent.... who knows if that will translate to success.

Just curios to see what Ravens fans think.

So, We Know Who Mel Kiper Jr. Thinks The Ravens Should Take

We all love Mel Kiper Jr. He's a Baltimore guy, he's brought Baltimore swag to ESPN for a number of years, and is one of the few gurus who gets it right more than he gets it wrong. And yeah, he's known for an occasionally bombastic statement or two, but they don't come more bombastic than this.

Mock Draft Round-Up (As far as the Ravens go)

Wondering what all the experts are saying about the Ravens draft prospects? We did the searching so you don't have to.

Ozzie Newsome's Mock Draft Already 0-1

"I think one of the best parts of the draft is the intrigue that goes with it with what other teams are going to do," Newsome said. "Right now, probably half of you think Jake Long is going to be the No. 1 pick. I'd probably smile and say that's not going to happen. And, [Miami is] negotiating with the kid right now, for whatever reason."
