The Miguel Tejada trade looks smarter and smarter every day. Terrell Suggs is playing nice and attending minicamp even though he's been franchised and isn't under contract. Steve McNair is hanging up the cleats and freeing up some cap space. All in all it's a rare great day to be a Baltimore fan.

Quote of the Day: Charles Barkley on ESPN's treatment of Miguel Tejada
In an appearance on the Dan Patrick radio show, Charles Barkley took issue with ESPN's treatment of Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada during a recent interview. The first video is an excerpt of Tejada's interview that will air in its entirety Tuesday on ESPN's "E:60." The second sound clip is Barkley's reaction to the interview.

Flotsam's Grandma Doris thinks everyone should cut Miguel Tejada some slack.

Tejada Two Years Older
In what comes as not much of a surprise it turns out Miguel Tejada isn't as young as he claimed to be. ESPN.com reports after doing some investigating and a little legal work in the All-Star's native Dominican Republic, he is actually two years older then the Astros' media guide says.
Do my eyes deceive me?
It's roughly 9:30pm Eastern time and the Phillies/Astros game is heading into the bottom of the 9th with the Phils down 3-nuttin'. I ponder turning off the tv and catching some early z's, but I resist the temptation of sleep and decide to stick around to watch the finale of this lousy game. It has been a lousy game to this point too, the Phils offense is nonexistent,...
Phils waste Kendrick's quality start
The Phillies pitching was continually mentioned as the thing that would hold back the Phillies this season, but in the last few games, the offense has failed while the pitching has come through. Kyle Kendrick, who has been nothing short of terrible this season, pitched a gem by his standards, going 7 innings, striking out 5 batters, and giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits. Unfortunately...
Phillie bats come alive in support of Myers
First the pitching was the issue, then more recently the bats weren't holding up their end. Today, it all came together for the Phillies, who rode 16 hits and great pitching by Brett Myers to a 10-2 victory over the Houston Astros.
Myers went 7 strong innings, giving up 5 hits and striking out 8 batters. After a rocky start to the season for Myers, he appears to have settled...
Dikembe Mutombo, We're Waiting....
Miguel Tejada is older than we thought he was. If you are surprised by that, chances are you're also a republican Senator on the Roger Clemens' inquisition as well.
This Week
Everybody wants to know about the overtime situation. Whatever happened had no bearing on the outcome of the game. That's all that matters. We all know the rules now. There is no need to waste any more time on the subject. If you want some answers, check out my website (www.DonovanMcNabb.com) where my press conference from today is available.

Problems With the Draft
After dinner in Malibu on Sunday (same place I met John McEnroe), I jumped in my car and headed back home to Scottsdale. I arrived having forgotten/lost the remote to open the gate (to my community) and for some reason, the key to my front door was missing (lost over the bye week). Fortunately, I was able sneak past the gate by tailgating another resident (impenetrable security!...
Miguel Tejada busted lying about age on ESPN, Video
Miguel Tejada lied about his age as many players do. They do it so they are seen as phenoms. They play like they are 19, but they say they are 17. They lie to make themselves appear like a great deal. Kind of like using steroids.
Hanging Out With the Stars!
Last week, I got to go a Washington Capitals game for the first time and it was amazing. I plan on buying an Alexander Ovechin #8 jersey because he is a beast. Then I went to LA for the NAACP Image Awards and to do a photo shoot for a car and high speed magazine (I'll let you know when it hits newsstands so you can go pick it up). It was my first time attending the Image Awards, and...
Baltimore Ravens DE Trevor Pryce Out With Chest Injury
This definitely hurts the Ravens, because Pryce was already going below full speed while recovering from a broken wrist he sustained in September. The Ravens are ranked 15th in the league in sacks, so losing any pressure from the defensive front will create big shifts in responsibility for outside linebackers Terrell Suggs and Jarret Johnson, and back up lineman Dwan Edwards.

Does anybody think that the Orioles knew about his age already and kept it under wraps?
