PLAYERS: Kyle Boller
TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens

Kyle Boller's interception with 10:22 remaining in the fourth quarter bought that same old feeling back to Charm City last night. In all aspects of a football game, the Baltimore Ravens outplayed a team that many have crowned the greatest team in NFL single-season history, but the fourth quarter revealed all the signs of unraveling worthy of a 4-7 team. And then, it was confirmed.

  • Outplayed? nah...champions always pull it out, don't they?...make one more play? and take 15 yard cheapshots all night and get slammed every week with penalties...see, we could but don't make excuses in NE...12-0 and props to the Ravens, especially that one hail mary and the one touchdown with Green and Wilfork two inches from Boller's head...good post though...being diplomatic these days, but not tonight...you got us in yardage and most stats, but by 10%. tops...we take everyone's best shot...you should be proud of your Ravens...
  • and watch the "crowned" comments, we don't want the attention...we just play and my team hates the media and doesn't say squat before each and every game...14-2 we'll go...and us NE fans are patient and just want to talk/rant after the season's over
  • New England got that game given to them by the refs! Gaffney didnt catch that ball!
  • do your homework...the refs woke up in the fourth quarter as you were holding and taking cheapshots on Welker and Moss the first three quarters...it's always on-sided with you Cowboys? ffans...sure, we have work to do, 14-2 like I said...we get the best every week no matter who we play...you guys just hate when Brady seems to always come up big...this game further cements the facts that we can't be cheating, can we really now...Pittsburgh I think will get us next week, then hopefully we make it and play you bastards again...and let's hear Suggs and all the Ravens make excuses all week like postgame last night...as far as the timeout, bad coaching....we have good coaching...another reason why teams perform in the clutch...props Ronald! and Gaffney, well it's plain as day he had both feet in as the refs called for review and were wrong...watch postgame analysis befor you make silly comments about Gaffney
  • BOTH FEET WERE DOWN BUT HE DIDNT HAVE CONTROL OF THE BALL
  • whatever, at this point...let's finish this friggin season and we will all know, won't we? and now Ptown, your Cowboys are "the best"...we will take it one game until we hopefully have another fuckin BRAWL!!
  • AND LOOK AT THE WHOLE GAME OFFICIATING AND ALL THE FUCKIN HOLDS ON MOSS AND WELKER, ETC UNTIL THE FOURTH....HOLDIMORE...DROOLING TO PLAY YOUR AMERICAS TEAM...SO FUCKING BAD...I CAN TASTE IT
  • switched hands...watch it in slow mo 50 times and listen to professional opinion on the networks...instead of Monday morning Quarterbacking...you Cowboy fans are so cocky over the last 30 years...keep talking
  • Shout up ptownboy , the patriots win because of the Raven Coach meltdown when he called a timeout.
  • sick of these cowboy fans bro!
  • The Ravens were robbed. The 4th and 5 holding should not have been called.
  • oh ok...watch the fuckin replay fool
  • The Ravens were not robbed. They just lost. Sean Taylor was robbed, not the Ravens.
  • It was a tough loss, but I'm proud of the Ravens for their effort, particularly Ray on D and Willis/Boller on O.
  • Ravens were definately robbed...dont get me wrong i love what the pats are doing and they are a great team but they should be 11-1. Only head Coaches and players on the field can take a timeout when they saw the Rex took the time out they should not have counted it at all kept how the 4th down had already happened. the refs gave them the game no matter what you cannot provoke players on the field that was stupid i was hoping bart scott would have racked him like Big ben last year
  • Newsflash here....according to NFL rules....the only person permitted to call a timeout from the sideline is the headcoach. The Pats were given the game in that the refs by NFL rules are not and should not have allowed the time out that Rex Ryan called.

Yardbarker interview with Ravens QB Joe Flacco

Joe Flacco spent a few minutes on the phone with the Yard today. I have to admit, as a Ravens fan, I was skeptical of the pick. Especially at eighteen. Not because of Flacco's skill or potential, but because Kyle Boller never amounted to anything more than a career backup. I'm scarred and scared. One thing I do love, though, is Flacco's accent. They'll love him in...

Worst Man Drafted: An FSB Tournament

Fansided is doing a tournament-type thing among the NFL blogs in the spirit of March Madness. ?The idea of it is that each team will submit their worst two draft picks ever and they will be seeded and voting will begin for the tournament. I decided that instead of just picking two, we would ...

Maybe Flacco Isn't Wacko

I think it is pretty apparent that I am a Skins fan. But a little known fact about The Hungry Actor is that I love seeing the Ravens do well-just not as well as the Skins. I lived in Maryland when the Ravens moved there and was obligated to follow them and have became intrigued by the way they were putting their team together. I definitely had multiple offseasons of jealousy when...

McGahee to have knee surgery

According to the Carroll County Times, Baltimore Ravens' running back Willis McGahee will undergo arthroscopic surgery to his left knee as soon as Monday. Yet another hit to the Ravens offense. McGahee was incredibly productive last year (his first year in Baltimore) and was expected to have a huge role in the offense again this season. Given the uncertainly at quarterback...

The Day After

Ray Lewis has joined most of the M*A*S*H unit with a dislocated finger, but he’ll play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Kyle Boller got his bell rung, and most of the city wants him to sit, but he will get the start on Sunday at quarterback. Brian Billick is still the head coach of the B...

Miami Dolphins 22, Baltimore Ravens 16 in OT

The Baltimore Ravens gave the Dolphins a nice gift for Christmas…….their first win of the season!  Kyle Boller didn’t have his best game as he completed 10 of 19 passes for 159 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception.  Troy Smith also got to play some and he was 5 for 11 for 49 [....

Flacco Drops Back to Pass

Well it didn't take long for Joe Flacco to take the reigns of the Ravens quarterback position, at least according to the techies at EA Sports. With Leather has screen shots from Madden '09 of many of the top draft picks from this weekend's draft. Among the photos is a shot of Flacco calmly dropping back to pass at M&T Bank Stadium and perhaps a sign of things to come...

Game Review: Rams at Ravens

Webster's Dictionary defines the word "domination" as "control or power over another or others and the exercise of such control or power." The Baltimore Ravens redefined the word as "defense." That defense harassed Rams quarterback Gus Frerotte all game long, en route to recording five quarterback hits, 12 hurries, five knockdowns, four sacks, and six turnovers...

Byron Leftwich is an embarrassment to himself, others

Kyle Boller was not Baltimore's first choice on draft day. It was Byron Leftwich, who today was cut yet again, this time by the Atlanta Falcons. How do you get outplayed by Joey Harrington and Chris Redman? Goodbye, career; hello, more cheeseburgers.

Ravens Week 2 - Wipe Out

I was thirsty. Jeff and I had just crossed the 2-mile mark on his wrist pedometer, which we're using to track how far we run along the sidelines this season, and after following Derrick Mason around all day, I was seriously lacking in electrolytes. I'm just guessing I'd sweat purple if Gatorade had its way, although despite Syracuse being called quite possibly the worst...

Phil Jackson inspires a Semi-Comprehensive List of the Most Overrated Coaches

No matter how many times I see a Phil Jackson led team in the finals, I can't help but think that the word "genius," gets thrown around a little too much in reference to this guy. Is he a great coach? Of course he is. Is he a basketball genius? My probably biased mind tells me no. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I think Kobe and Phil would be making tee times at Riviera...

Flacco's Play into PayDay

A while back ago I wrote a post titled, Kudos, Joe Linta. It pointed out how beneficial it is to get your client signed and into training camp on time, especially for a quarterback fighting for a starting spot. As the Baltimore Ravens try to earn their first postseason berth since 2006, rookie quarterback Joe Flacco has already received a hefty Christmas bonus.Flacco recently earned...

McNair to Retire

A 1pm press conference has been scheduled for today to announce the retirement of Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Steve McNair. Earlier this year, new Ravens Head Coach, Jon Harbaugh, announced that McNair would enter training camp as the starter. Now what? With just quarterbacks Kyle Boller and Troy Smith on the roster, it seems likely that Baltimore will be scouting for a new signal...

Baltimore returns to Earth

A two-touchdown deficit, Kyle Boller interception, and too many injuries (Haloti Ngata, Bart Scott, Le'Ron McLain and Willis McGahee). This is unacceptably familiar.Peyton Manning just threw his 300th career touchdown. Now it's a three-touchdown deficit.Colts 21, Ravens 0.And it's still the first qua...

Ravens Week 13 - Bubble Burst

Baltimore, MD -- 12/3/07. Breathe in. Breathe out. Innnn. Ouuuut. Innnn. Ouuuut. Okay, how do you feel now? Relaxed? Calm? At peace with the world? Yea, me neither. Breathing exercises just don't stand a chance against a gut-wrenching, nail-biting, rage-inducing, coulda, woulda, shoulda game against the undefeated New England Patriots. Yuck. Just saying the word undefeated...
