NFLGuru.net:
The Chicago Bears did the right thing by re-signing their best player, Devin Hester to a new four-year deal which will keep Hester in Chicago through 2013.
“I think the Bears have a lot of faith in me, and they feel that I do a lot of things on the offensive side of the ball, so they rewarded me,” said Hester.
Without Devin Hester the Bears would probably go scoreless for the entire 2008 season so this was a very smart move.

Players to Watch: Urlacher, Vasher
Can Brian Urlacher get back to the way he used to be, when he was an annual candidate for Defensive Player of the Year? After two straight injury-riddled seasons, will Nathan Vasher in any way remind us he was once known as "The Interceptor"? Get the Inside Slant from the NFL experts at Scout.com.
Bears' Tillman out 4-10 weeks after back surgery
Jay Cutler was already going to look good to fans in training camp and now he might look even better with Charles Tillman on the shelf. The Bears' top cornerback will be sidelined four-to-10 weeks as he continues to recover from back surgery, meaning free safety is no longer the No. 1 concern in a secondary that will enter training camp Friday with plenty of questions.

A Weekend Rodeo
Rod Remembers 0-16Thomas George does a nice job for NFL.com, breaking down Rod Marinelli's everything-riding-on-it impact on the defensive line. The most interesting passage involves Tommie Harris:"Tommie is strong, motivated, bright, perfect for the system," Marinelli said. "He was banged up last year. He seems pretty healthy. He's done it. The Swagger Report: Ten Years, Ten Forgotten Hurricanes
The past decade of Miami Hurricanes football has provided some of the best and worst memories in the history of the program. From the domination of Nebraska that marked the first National Title in Coral Gables in ten years, to missing out on Bowl in 2007.
