Bengals player not arrested at strip club

Cincy rookie Reggie McNeal, "was arrested outside The Red Door, a club just south of downtown, about 2 a.m. local time Sunday, police spokesman Gabe Ortiz said Monday.

"Ortiz said McNeal approached two officers standing near the entrance and became unruly when the officers told him the club was closing. Ortiz said McNeal 'became aggressive and started using profanity' when the officers refused to let him enter.

"Ortiz said McNeal walked away, then approached the officers again and elbowed one of them in the chest. Ortiz said the officers detected 'a strong odor of alcohol' from McNeal."

Yes, Reggie McNeal was arrested at a club in Houston. But it was not a strip club, and he did not have a gun, nor was he driving under the influence. A Bengals player getting arrested? Not news. A Bengals player getting arrested without weapons, strippers, or automobiles involved? Now that's news.
