Ben Roethlisberger's a bit of a meathead, but as far as meatheads go, he's pretty likable and always has something fairly interesting to say. Via Rotoworld: Ben Roethlisberger revealed that he sometimes gets distracted at FedEx Field in Washington because the Redskins let their cheerleaders stretch out in the opponent's tunnel before games. "The couple of preseason games I've played down there, we've seen it," Big Ben said. "It can be (distracting), let's be truthful. I've heard a rumor that they're not allowed to do it anymore." The practice actually was discouraged last year in a memo from the NFL office that's now referred to as the "Redskins Rule." You'd think they could come up with a catchier nickname. Talk about No Fun League. If Steve Sabol is listening, please please please put together a 30-minute behind-the-scenes special with interviews from players, cheerleaders and league execs on how the Washington Rule came to be. The Charles Haley Locker room special can wait.

I’m Not Sure How the NFL Sleeps at Night

Ryan Clark's story is a good one. Undrafted out of LSU, he latched on as a special teamer with the Giants and worked his way into their defensive backfield before coming to Washington via free agency. He spent two seasons with the Skins, starting 24 games at safety, 22 of them alongside Sean Taylor. In [...]
