Birds Come to Terms with Fourth-Round Pick WR Marcus Smith
Now that the Ravens have their number one pick, Joe Flacco, in camp, the team is looking to make sure they get all their rookies in for the start of training camp. They took another solid step in doing that Friday, as the team inked fourth-round draft pick WR Marcus Smith to a three-year deal. Smith, out of New Mexico, was the 106th pick overall. Starting 25 of 49 games, he totaled 153 catches for 2,073 yards and 13 touchdowns during his career. The team also made some other roster moves as well.
The team put Scott Kuhn and Quinn Sypniewski, both tight ends, on IR. Kuhn is a rookie from Louisville and Sypniewski is a third-year player from Colorado. In addition, the Ravens also reached an injury settlement with linebacker Mike Smith, a fourth-year player from Texas Tech, who was then waived.
