Brian Westbrook's demands are for the birds

Reuben Frank reports of an impending holdout by Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook. Andy Reid says he is confident that Westbrook will show up at training camp in Roob's piece. A holdout would be typical for the Pro Bowl back who held out a few years ago. As an Eagles fan, I am going to be real upset if Westbrook pulls this crap again at a crucial period in the Reid/McNabb tenure.

I really hope that Westbrook doesn't hold out... by now, he should see that it hasn't helped the causes of any of the players that have held out before him. I'm hoping that Donovan is right, and that Brian will be at camp, but I guess we're just going to have to wait until the end of the week to find out.

I agree rjajr99.

Brian Should be signed ASAP

It would be a bad move overall for the franchise to give him a huge new contract. But I do hope they can work something out.

Are you serious??? He has carried the load for us for the last few years... hes been consistent... he is the man... Pay him... before we regret it...

Arent we still in need of a receiver... after letting one of the best in the game walk away??? Pay him yesterday!!!

he's 29 and can't keep up the #'s he's producing now. I DO think he deserves it. I;m just saying think three years down the road, he'll be 32, almost all RB decline at age 30, we could be paying a lot of money to... Warrick Dunn basically.

pay the man but not a long term deal as rhcp said he's 29 most RB hit a wall around the 30yr old mark look at Shaun ALexander for example and Edge.
