Sportsday:
DENVER - Cowboys nemesis Brian Dawkins haunted Dallas again Sunday. The Broncos veteran safety finished with seven tackles (six solo), one tackle for loss and one pass defended.
Dawkins, who spent his first 13 seasons in Philadelphia, saved the day for Denver during the Cowboys' final drive. With Denver up by a touchdown, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo hit receiver Sam Hurd across the middle of the field. Hurd had nothing but green in front of him as he streaked down the right sideline for a 53-yard gain. But Dawkins, two weeks shy of his 36th birthday, caught up with the 24-year-old Hurd and tackled him at the 20 to prevent him from scoring the game-tying touchdown in the final minute.
Dawkins leads all active NFL players in career tackles against Dallas with 110. He's also second among current players - first among position players - with 25 games played against the Cowboys.
