Can Harrison be This Week’s Royal?

With news that Jerome Harrison could be activated for this week’s contest against the Broncos, I got to thinking… The two players that received the most targets last week against Minnesota were tight end Robert Royal and slot receiver Mike Furrey.  Royal, who was brought in for his blocking skills, received nine targets with Furrey nabbing [...]

Browns running back Jamal Lewis shows he still has it

The Browns season opener against Minnesota showed that running back Jamal Lewis still has it and that his rookie protege James Davis is still trying to get it.

BT Scout: Cleveland Browns

The Denver Broncos can beat the Cleveland Browns. The Browns certainly shouldn’t be overlooked. They got handled fairly well against the Minnesota Vikings last week, losing 34-20, but the Browns really shot themselves in the foot. The Vikings had just enough going in the first half to gain a lead after some great field [...]

The Browns take on the Denver Broncos tomorrow at 4:15 at Mile High.  The defense was impressive in the first half against the high powered Vikings attack and then crumbled in the 2nd half as Adrian Peterson lit up the Browns.  The offense failed to achieve any rhythm and scored one touchdown at the end [...]

Redefining the Clinton Administration

It seems so far off that Clinton Portis was a serious contender for the NFL MVP award just a season ago. Through half of a season, Portis had rushed for 995 yards, seven touchdowns, and the affection of rabid Washington football faithful. By the time the season had concluded, Portis rushed for 100 yards in a [...]

Eric Mangini Is to Blame for Short Comings of Brady Quinn and the Browns

I was reading an article from Rants from the dawg pound, by Malcolm Mathers, concerning the status of Brady Quinn, Eric Mangini, and the game with the Minnesota Vikings. I was originally going to make this a comment on his article, but it was too long, so I decided to write my own article, in defense of his starting quarterback, Brady Quinn. The first drive of the season and...
