According the the Plain Dealer, Corey Williams is the newest member of the Cleveland Browns. Williams will be joining the Browns in exchange for a second round draft choice, contingent on the Browns' signing of Williams to a multi-year deal.

Today QB Derek Anderson re-upped with the Browns after agreeing to terms on a multiple-year contract, which means Browns QB Brady Quinn will have to wait at least another year to get a shot as an NFL starter. Unless a trade is in the works.
Cleveland doesn't have a selection in either the first or second rounds of this April's NFL Draft. They traded the second-rounder...

With the free agency signing period approaching the Cleveland Browns are prepared to let Pro Bowl QB Derek Anderson walk. The team is standing by their 3-year offer and not willing to up the years. General Manager Phil Savage that he's "ready for the Brady Quinn era" if Anderson doesn't accept the offer.

I'd swear with how negotiations have gone between QB Derek Anderson and the Cleveland Browns, I'd think everyone on both sides was a woman. (no offense ladies I'm just joking). But honestly, neither side could make up their mind on what they wanted at least they decided before it wound up being to late.

All the talk about Randy Moss not signing a new deal with the Pats may be coming to a head, as there are now reports that the record-setting wide out WILL test the free agent market. Word from sources is that Moss and the Pats are not near a new deal, and that Moss is not about to give the Pats a break on what he wants contract wise after coming to them from the Raiders in a draft...

The Cincinnati Bengals are not very happy with the Detroit Lions right now. The two sides had a trade in place for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers but at the last moment the Lions pulled the deal off the table and shipped him to the Cleveland Browns, the Bengals division rival. The Cleveland Browns have continued with their spending spree, by signing former New England Patriots receiver Donte Stallworth. Stallworth gets a 7-year contract worth $35 million, there is $10 million in that contract that is guaranteed. He'll receive $17 million over the first 4 years of the contract. This is another good signing for the Browns and pretty good for Donte as well.
