We already lost Henry and we have nobody else in the depth chart thats worth two cents as far as being a reliable, every down receiver.

If we trade him, or he sits out... I'll probably hang my jersey up for a few years again.

We will have a great #1 receiver in Housh... but nobody else for the defense to focus on. Therefore teams will double Housh and focus on stopping our already sub-par ground game.

If we lose Chad, which we probably will at some point- say hello to the return of the Bungles. And don't forget TJ will probably skip out the door after this year too.

at least give a young guy a chance to step-up......or else he stays a bengal and acts like a primadonna which probably hurts the team more than not having him

Well the young guys were gonna get a chance at the #3 spot this year anyways. In a way losing Chris Henry was good for many things- of course the chance to set discipline... but also a chance to see what else the Bengals really have a WR

as an eagles fan, i speak to you in a logical sense hahah!!! after all of the shit thats happened with him in the off-season, do you honestly think that hes going to be playing for you guys next year? im not sayin hell be playin for the birds or for anyone else for that matter, im just sayin, think realistically. plus, was it worth gettin into a penis measuring contest with that other birds fan? also, i dont appreciate the sterotype man, that aint cool!!! good post though...

return of the bungles? when did they leave?

Listen.... I'm sick of Eagles fans bashing on Cincy simply because we won't just hand you our #1 WR for a cornerback who isn't even close to 6 foot in a league where WR's get taller every year.

Last year was our first losing season in the Marvin Lewis era. Taking a look at the last 3 years.
Eagles- 6-10, 10-6, 8-8
Bengals- 11-5, 8-8, 7-9

Sure you never wanna go on a downslide after making the playoffs.... but what's worse- going 8-8 after losing in the first round, or going 6-10 after losing the Super Bowl??

I'm not getting into a pissing contest here, the Eagles have a much better winning tradition.... but I don't understand where all this Bengal hatred from Eagles fans stems from. We're not even in your division... hell we're not even in your CONFERENCE.

Saying the team we have now is anything even close to resembling the days of the "Bungles" is just plain stupidity from a guy looking the take a jab at a team that won't hand over their star player. Where all the hatred for Detroit, Arizona or any of the other 5 teams you guys have been "guaranteed" to make a trade with.

I still like the Eagles as a team.... but this site has totally destroyed what respect I used to have for Philly fans.

Well I think you answered your own dilemma Shadymarsh. See Eagles fans hate the Bengals b/c u guys stunk even with 2 pro bowl receivers, a top 5 running back in Johnson and a #1 QB. You guys have no D and have not addressed replacing any of those 15 or so convicts you have on your team. So why are the bengals being so greedy in not wanting to give up a guy who is unhappy where he is at? And potentially sit him for the season (where everone losses out) . I admit he has been acting like a punk in the process as he should have gone to the front office and asked for a way out, insted of doing this through the media. But at the same time we are going to kick you a shut down corner and probably a first round pick (Being an Eagle fan I would have rather resigned Lito to a long term deal instead of paying all that money to Asante b/c they are both real good players). Dude u have no clue about football if you are dissing on a player b/c of size. What about Darrell Green 5'8 or Zack Thomas ( the 5'9 LB that went from Miami to Dallas) Warrick Dunn, Doug Flutie. Some of these guys are ligitimate hall of fame players and to say that b/c a player is under 6 feet they cant guard a big receiver is a good enough reason for me to not have respect for any ignorant Bengals fan. Your team has been good i think for 1 year since u played SF back in the 80's when u went to the SB. I personally speaking as an Eagles fan hope we dont get Cjohnson bc of how much talent the Bengals would demand if they had the nerve to turn down Washington for a first round and a secound potential 1st round next year. They probably could have demanded even more if they had tried since washington loves to trade away their future every year for some reason that I havent been able to figure out! How much better would you have been if you traded him to washington and had 4 #1 draft picks over the next 2 seasons( the two u would have had neways plus 2 from washington). As an Eagles fan I hope we keep to our normal ways and go OT in the first round, Safety 2nd Round(B-dawk in last year probably), WR Third and use our compensatory picks to move around the board and pick up depth in area's like LB, O-line, RB etc. I cant stand how people think that a # 1 receiver will automatically put us on top. (hows this for an idea) Sign Kevin Jones or Shaun Alexander, Move Westbrook out to WR (let him still play rb on 3rd downs) with Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis. There you have a guy who can catch 90 passes, a #2 in curtis who caught over 1,000 yards last year and had 60-70 catches, and reggie brown who at 40-50 catches and 600 yards is great as a third receiver. On top of that we have LJ smith who is comming back from an injury plagued year. Bringing in Alexander since he is used to the WC system is a good fit either way. lol-Bet u Eagle fans never thought of this. By draft the OGuard in the Draft we will have a tandem of Shawn Andrews and another young stud on the line. Point being when the Bengals, Lions and Cardinals all stink every year with 2 #1 wide receivers they should be looking for a way to address other positions on their team through the likes of free agency and the draft instead of overloading at positions they are good in and not addressing area's of need (that 2,3 or 4 extra draftpicks could really help). Oh I forgot maybe you dont want picks because you guys tend to mess up on any talent you pick in the draft. Ki-jana Carter was awesome man!

Good god that is a long reply.... by the way you forgot about Akili Smith.

Anyways, my beef doesn't stem from Eagles fan wanting Chad. It stems from Eagles fans INSISTING that there is absolutely no reason for us not to give him up other than stubborness. I'll admit that the Brown family are some stubbron SOB's, but nobody is bothering to take a look at the fact we have some key guys to sign and money to save up for what should be a gread FA crop next year. If we trade Chad, we can kiss TJ goodbye too. That cap hit will almost surely use up money that we would need to give TJ.

So just because Chad Johnson is crying that means we should fold our entire offense??? Absolutely not.

Look how many years the Eagles struggled before things started clicking for them... and now they're a top level team. God forbid the Bengals not have instant success after securing some talent. It's hard to have instant success when you're not a franchise that is used to handling success. Having winning records, or .500 records under one head coach is no reason to be called "garbage" or any of the other names we are being called.

They have been nothing but fair to Chad Johnson to this point, but somewhere along the way, somebody clicked his ego switch into high gear and they've been butting heads ever since. I have no idea how this is going to pan out, but I do know that trading Chad right now is NOT a step forward, regardless of what talent gets thrown their way.

Great so the Eagles give us an above average corner.... we still cant afford to pay him and we lose TJ the next year and start all over from a scratch... how is that progress???

"this site has totally destroyed what respect I used to have for Philly fans. " hahahaha this is priceless, yes they do alot of barkin

Shadymarsh, at least we made it to the Super Bowl with the WR who eventually massacred our team. With the WR (Chad Johnson) who will undoubtedly massacre your team. (If he's not traded.) You didn't even sniff the AFC championship game let alone the Super Bowl.

Now as far as you claiming that we're angry that the Bungles won't trade the Eagles "Ocho-Stinko" for peanuts is extremely far from the truth. In fact as an Eagles fan I believe we're trying to give you guys some good advice. So that you can pass it on to your team. We went through the disgruntled Receiver bit before. And it will get very ugly, very ugly indeed.

See, when the Eagles and "Terrible Owens" were going through their issues. T.O. single handily tore apart the strong foundation of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now Chad Johnson is threatening to do the same to the Bengals. And the Bengals foundation isn't even half as strong as the Eagles was when they went through the same deal. So the things Chad Johnson can eventually do to your team may be catastrophic compared to what we went through in 2005.

Now to be perfectly honest with you I don't want Chad Johnson to become an Eagle. Call me crazy, but I'd rather see what Donovan McNabb can do with the Receivers he has right now then to risk history repeating itself. Now I am not bringing Chad's abilities into question, not by a long shot. We all know what he is capable of doing on that field. What I am questioning is his character.

So give me Roy Williams or give me Anquan Bolding, just don't give me Ocho Stinko!

Nevermind.... I figured out all the hatred....

My bad... I didn't realize that the "Bungles" have managed to put together a 7-3 all time record vs. the birds... it all makes sense now.

See you in Week 11

whoa buddy you got a chip on your shoulder or what

no.... just been taking knocks from Philly fans for 3 months and it's getting a little on the annoying side.

Well actually....ya there is a chip on my shoulder probably..... 15 years of losing will do that to a guy I guess.

>>>>>Well actually....ya there is a chip on my shoulder probably..... 15 years of losing will do that to a guy I guess.

your only 15 years old?

yes I vividly remember every Bengals game since I was an infant... idiot

Now thats just straight gay to point out. We've played you 10 times in like 40 years or something. LMAO

7 and 3? Not worried one bit, even IF (and its a big if) your team is at 100 percent. The Birds will shut you down. But the odds are that your own beloved Chad Johnson will more than likely have dismantled your team by then.

And I know present to you on June first you newsest Philadelphia Eagle MR Chad Johnson.

and id have to say that going 6-10 after losing the super bowl is far better than going 8-8 after losing in the first round, plus we did that too

well actually we went one round further and then went 8-8

and i dont hate the bengals

true, the departure of chad will usher in a 2nd coming of the bungles, but on the other hand, without a big WR, we may see the return of the beagles...

good post

They are not going to trade chad--they have tj hous--they are going treat him like terrell owens,if he does not play. They need another bullet on offense,we will see draft time.

i hate marvin lewis
he is wasting talent and he could at least trade chad for draft pics and a corner
he is so stupid!
