Browns Gab:
While the KC Chiefs are further from ever from being competitive, they appear to be on the verge of trying to find themselves a QB for the future. Jay Glazer of FOX reported earlier Sunday that the Chiefs called the Cleveland Browns about last years first-round draft pick - QB Brady Quinn, and if he [...]

The Browns will need Quinn soon if Derek Anderson keeps playing the way he has been this season.

Quinn's reps with the first team are reportedly to be increased this week. So what is that, a three year contract extension for three games of work? Nice work, Derek Anderson.

Isn't it more like nice work, Cleveland front office? Why couldn't they learn from the Chargers who cashed in when Brees was at his peak and have since been fine with Rivers. Now if Anderson keeps struggling and Quinn isn't the real deal, they have locked up a huge amount of cap space on two underperformers in the same position. Trying to trade one of them will be impossible because what team would give up more than a second-round pick? Only in Cleveland!

Agreed. You'd think with all the moves this offseason, one of the first would have been to trade away either Brady or Anderson. I don't think it's too hard to see that several teams are hurting at QB this year.

It's Time To Bench Derek Anderson
On Thursday, we discussed a possible scenario that may result in the benching of Derek Anderson (in favor of Brady Quinn) against the Ravens. After holding a halftime lead, the Browns sputtered thanks to three interceptions thrown by Anderson, including a pick six by Ed Reed. After the situation presented itself for the hook, Anderson remained in the game and continued to stink...
Edwards Leaning Towards Huard for Sunday at QB

Edwards said today that he is "leaning" towards Huard, and sitting Tyler Thigpen, who was not very good last week at Atlanta.? Huard started vs the Raiders, and was pulled during the week two 23-8 loss.? In two games Huard has 135 passing yards, 1 TD and two...
Go Time for Brady Quinn?
Thought the wait in the draft was a long one for Brady Quinn? Tack on almost 20 NFL games into your career before you get a shot. It's not a done deal, but it appears that if Derek Anderson keeps?well?not doing much of anything, the Browns may make the move to Quinn. Starting this week in practice by giving him more reps.
No Word Yet on Who Will Be Under Center in Week Four
Not that it matters as of this point, but the KC Star says the Chiefs are not sure who exactly will QB the team in their week four game vs Denver this week.? The team is 0-3, and tried rookie Tyler Thigpen this past Sunday vs the Falcons, with little success as they at one point trailed 24-0.? Herm Edwards said today it will either be Thigpen or Damon Huard, who was the starter in...

Derek Anderson: On Notice
While tossing Brady Quinn into the fourth quarter of yesterday's game would not have been the best idea, it appears that he is now one step closer to assuming the roll of starting quarterback. Assuming that practice reps are any indication, Derek Anderson is officially on notice...

Quenching Browns Rumors
I thought that we were all due for a little Browns news today. All we have really discussed since the loss to Baltimore has been more or less griping about either Romeo Crennel, Derek Anderson or our linebackers. Who's been worse, the offense or defense? How long until Brady comes to save the day? What's up with Donte Stallworth?
Thankfully, Lane Adkins of the Orange...
