Vikings Now:
Vikings coach Brad Childress addressed the long pass down the right sideline, as his team protected a 10-point lead late in the fourth quarter.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wondered why the Vikings would attempt such a play, when they had a chance to burn valuable seconds off the clock.

"It was a shot to take a chance," Childress said. "Thinking that they are playing the run and they had no timeouts at that point in time. We could have run it and taken more seconds off the clock and we had a discussion on how to do that. We thought that we would get after that guy and we did in fact complete it, but unfortunately a long foul ball."
The Packers drove the ball down the field and settled for a field goal with just under a minute remaining. But, their onside kick attempt was recovered by Vikings receiver Sidney Rice.

Freeman on Favre
Never got around to it. But, a few weeks ago, I spoke to former Green Bay Packers receiver Antonio Freeman, who worked with Percy Harvin before the NFL Draft.
Specifically, Freeman helped Harvin with his route-running, something he was happy to do since they share the same agent, Joel Segal.
Anyways, I also talked to Freeman about Brett Favre.
We had an interesting chat. He doesn...
Local Sports Coverage Is Still Awesome
While ESPN was prattling on about Brett Favre's performance in a random game from 1992, local Minnesota coverage was asking the important questions. Like who would you rather have at quarterback, Brett Favre or Fran Tarkenton? But most people missed that stellar convo, because of one opportunistic fan in the background. Take a look see....I couldn't tell if that said ...

A Comment On Donruss Certified
After seeing that Brett Favre is going to have his first Viking "auto" in Certified on Panini's webpage, I want to say a few things about the set preview they posted. Certified is next on the calendar, I believe, and is another in the mid end set line up that Donruss releases every year. Threads, Certified, Limited, Gridiron Gear, they all usually blend together.First...

Favre Leads Vikes Over Packers
I’m a little behind thanks to Minnesota Twins playoff fever and having an actual fever. Being in person at the Vikings versus Packers Monday Night game was truly amazing. In Brett Favre “Revenge Game” against his former team, he played great. Favre was 24 of 31 for 271 yards including three touchdowns.
