Found November 15, 2008 on Bleed Eagles Green:
Unable to catch on with a team this season, S John Lynch is set to announce his retirement. As an Eagles fan I could care less, but the news did get me to thinking...as a safety getting into the HOF is rare, does Lynch have a better shot then Dawkins? It's not as close as one would think. The numbers and the accolades are close, but (even with my obvious bias) it appears that Dawkins would have the edge... - Lynch: 15 seasons, average of 3.3 tackles per game, 16 FF, 13 sacks, and 26 interceptions - Dawkins: 13 seasons, average of 3.9 tackles per game, 29 FF, 20 sacks, 33 interceptions, and 3 TDs In 2.5 fewer seasons, Dawkins leads in all of the significant statistical categories. To make the argument complete, we also have to factor in the awards. Lynch was a 9 time Pro Bowler and a 2-time first-team All-Pro. Dawkins is (still a chance for more) a 6-time Pro Bowler and a 4-time first-team All-Pro. Looking at both accolades, I call this area even. I guess the only area that Lynch has the one up on Dawkins is titles. Dawkins can thank fellow S Blane Bishop for allowing Lynch to get his one ring.............................

Thanks For The Memories

It was one hell of a run. A big thank you to Reid and McNabb for turning this Eagles franchise around. We will always have the memories. Myself, I actually got the chance to attend 3 NFC Championship games, including the Super Bowl appearance clincher. But now we must say goodbye. The ride is over. We are moving backwards. The Eagles are no longer an elite team. What...

Eagle Fans !!! Where is Joe Mays???

Eagle coaching staff please listen up !!! Football is not rocket science, Its about putting people in the right position to make plays. If a person is not comfortable then they cannot play with confidence. This theory can be applied to any job or sport. So I ask why do we have so many players at a postion that they are not comfortable in. So this leads me to the LB's Stewart...

Mom of Squish I need your help!!!!!

No idea how this works, I have never been that good at these optical illusion pictures! But the friend who sent me this said if you stare at it long enough, you should be able to see the ocean. I tried for almost an hour and I can't see any stupid ocean! Let me know if you have any luck.

The Eagles WILL Make the Playoffs!

I've decided to not necessarily go out on a limb but put myself out there and predict that the Eagles will for sure make the playoffs! That's right, instead of whining like a spoiled brat, bashing & ripping "our" (those TRUE Eagles fans) teams players, blaming a SINGLE individual on this team, crying like an incessant spoiled rotten brat and giving up hope on...

Pathetic: The Eagles TIE the 1-win Bengals

One word describes the effort the Eagles put forth today in their tie with the lowly Cincinnati Bengals: pathetic. Here is my list of everything pathetic from this game:Donovan McNabb: 3 picks, a completion percentage below 50%, terrible over- and under-throws and a myriad of bad decisions. It's time for the Kevin Kolb era to begin.McNabb's smile: Stop smiling when you play like...

My videotaped advice to Donovan McNabb telling him how he can get his MoJo back

Eagles Still Missing Shawn Andrews

Maybe if they had the Big Kid those run attempts on third and fourth down against the Giants wouldn't have failed. Turns out Andrews is stuck in California after a procedure:Longstory short, Andrews recently had some bleeding in the area where hisback was surgically repaired. They treated the ...

Nice to see McNabb get some positive press

"Chad Ocho Cinco is crediting Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb with helping him adjust his attitude at the start of training camp."

Give Him The Damn Ball

Not that I think the Bengals game will come down to a final drive or final play, but if we have learned anything from these 2008 Eagles it's that they love to surprise us. IF the Eagles do find themselves in another 4th quarter nail biter, my two cents for Reid is keep the ball in the hands of #5.
