  After reading this article have come to the conclusion that American Humanist Association is the Anti-Christ,No Morning Prayer in School,Take Out the So Help MeGod in the Presidential oath,What the hell is wrong with these misguided individuals? Fine you don't Believe in God but those NFL Players do and for the AHA to even think about the possiblity of trying to protest the gathering of players praying after or during incident when a fellow player gets hurt would be somewhat Disturbing...

    and kids stop believing in Santa Claus. Players show how ignorant they really are by envoking a three letter word"GOD" that no one has ever proven exists. No one has ever defined this three letter word, so they are praying to a three letter word. A athlete is asking this theist three letter word to assist an injured player, yet let 50,000 chinese die in an earthquake, come on guys, it is 2009 it is time to give up the silly belief in the myths of dead men.

      Elvis, Its obvious you've been hurt by the Roman Catholic Church. I find it interesting that you give so much attention to "a three letter word" you don't believe exists. If your so sure than why do you even bother with us silliy, unproven ignorant people. Well El, God loves you anyway and I'll pray for you. Now this shouldn't bother you because what action can come from a non entity or a fool. No Beads, no statue, no crusade. Just a relationship and faith in the One living three letter word.         It is wasted words like those contained in the previous seven sentences that prove that ignorance still exists and exists on its own terms in the minds of those that refuse to move past the myths of dead men. Hmark would have relished persecutjing Galileo and Giordano Bruno in the name of the invisible male thing that has never been proven to exist. Comments like" why do I waste my time?" are so just like faith, vile, that my only answer is, "because your kind use to burn my kind for my thoughts and questions". You can warm yourself in your coat of dogma, but orthodox relationships with an invisible, matterless, outside of time and space, unchanging, oops except to change to create the universe, three letter thing are just plain insane. How a three lettter nothing thing, unknowable, except by faith which by definition,is unknowing, love you, is beyond reason. I suggest buying season ticket for the Raiders, giving them to Joe's BBQ on Broadway in Oakland, and then really start living the life your invisble friend wants you to, because remember he needs your worship for some reason, heck he is so emotionally weak after blinking up the plan that backfired on Eve, that he wants your undivided attention.   The obvious, glaring flaw with this article is that the AHA resigns itself to protestesting and challenging the intermingling of church and state (i.e. the swearing in of our President being tied to God, prayer in public schools). OK fine, that's their thing, their cause. I'm all for religious freedom and the freedom to be free from religion but the NFL is not a government agency and does not represent the "state" in any way. Therefore, there is no reason for the AHA to have issue with how players choose to express themselves.

  there is no basis for these protests. If they are offended then they shouldn't watch it. The standards of "family" time TV have seemed to drop. So there is no a m for mature of e for everyone, so mabey the need to add tvg for so these people can not turn on the program. This way they are not offended and the rest of us can watch "everyday" people expressing their constitutional right to express their faith through speech and actions.

  this shouldnt be a shock considering that we are living in the last days. this is exactly what the bible said would happen. the main problem is that some people hate the truth. so instead of complaining start praying for their souls. my ears work great and i can hear the footsteps of the one that God sent.

  In the era of growth hormones and seriods. some might argue this point. But many young men work hard toward a goal through athletics. In thies process they lean on God to help them do the right thing, this dosent always happen. But many pray to him for strength. When they achieve ther goals they are very gatefull to him for those accomplishments. So if one of the ways they show gratitiude and respect are there actions on the feild, be it piont at the sky or neel and pray. Who are we to judge their action.

  REligous beliefs are personal, you DO NOT NEED anyone's approval to pray or believe in what you want.
  NO organization has the right to curtail your beliefs. The govt MAY limit what you do on public property but in no way can it or any organization limit what you do on non-govt owned property.

  So what do you want players to do instead of prayer when someone goes down for a significant amount of time and carried away in a stretcher??? Do you want the players to go, "oh, it's no big deal happens all the time, who cares about the player, now maybe we will have a chance to win the game. This is absurd by any means. I think of it as respect to the player and a reflection on your own life that thank God i'm still alive, but also to the person who was injured that he'll be okay. Why don't we just become people full of hate and who the f*** cares about one another. Religion is here to stay in the NFL, I don't care if anybody says differently.

  If there was NO GOD, aka CHRIST and if the ATHEIST were so confident that this is a reality they wouldnt be bothered much by anyone believing in him. But with all th DARWIN, EVOLUTION, and misconception that there is NO GOD, they/you are still not sure if this majestic God exist or not. The only way that they/you can try to assure yoursel is to explain him away, remove his name from whatever govermental document, take his words out of school, request a ban on prayer at NFL games. Sadly though men of reason would never listen to fifty-two different bad sermons from the pulpit like these believing sheep do, we would rather listen to one great speech written by a thinker fifty two weeks out of the year.

      Hey Milk... Do you believe anything? Anything at all? Because there is no way to prove anything anyone believes about anything. If you took some time to think logically and rationally you might discover that nothing can be proven. You cant prove that you exist, because for all you know you could be someones imaginary friend. You cant prove anything you see is real because for all you know, you could be imagining it all. The fact of the matter is, everything anyone "knows" requires an element of faith. Faith in the "knowledge" that what you are experiencing corresponds to reality. I recognize that it is not a sufficient answer to say, "you need to prove God doesn't exist and if you can't then he must be real!" I know thats not true, but its equally not true to suggest that saying, "if you can't prove God exists, then he must not!" The truth is you choose to ignore any evidence of a devine being, thats your choice, others of us recognize the creator every day. But we both believe something. You believe God does not exists and I believe he does. I cant prove you are wrong, you cannot prove i am wrong. But I can continue to experience God on a daily basis and you can continue to believe you breathe every breath on accicent.
      PS some of the worlds top scholars are men and women of faith, so dont suggest that only people who dont think believe in God. Even some prominent atheists have suggested there is significant evidence of a devine being, most of them just dont believe its enough evidence. So who is really being ignorant here?

        Another typical, actually now standard reply from the camp of believers in the invisible man thing, "how can we prove anything?" This question or statement is so absurd when discussing this issue. Belief in an invisible three letter thing requires the burden of proof, of course you folks that hide behind faith already have built into your reasoning an indefensible shield. If we are imagining it all, so, your matterless, bodyless, heaven place is just that, so don't start with the we would just be robots, or pawns in God's game. You back yourself around the circle, your first cause, not needing a cause, has already backed around, the guys who have put scripture into this three letter things mouth sealed the fate of this divine cracker. Oh almost forgot, the old top scholars are men and women of faith, so what, top scholar, top theologian, ok so people that don't do anything believe something, I guarantee this, they both aren't agreeing on the same three letter word. Nice try TPoe but you are not dealing with a layman atheist that you can convince with very tired utterances, I am in shock you didn't pull out Pascal's Wager, or Paley's Watch. And finally I believe many things, one just off the top of my reasoning mind is, I believe the empty tomb 48hours after Jesus gave up his soul/spirit is not a miracle, never was, never will be, the only miracle is that people still believe this myth.

  The sermon doesn't change because GOD never changes and man hasn't got the message yet, like you. But thankfully some do hear the message of Love that GOD delivers and recieve that message and trust it. I can tell that you don't trust anything unless you see it. Then how do you know that you are who you are you can't see what's inside your mind how do you know it's you thinking and not an alien in your skull?

    Hello, why pray if this three letter word doesn't change. JHWH use to be four letters, he changed. Hello this thing use to be timeless, matterless, perfect, unchanging, yet what? it changed, what you say! yeah it decided it wanted to create a universe with living things in it, of course this perfect thing had no prototype to go on, but a seven day work week was all that was need to figure it out perfectly. LOL I wonder how the sun would look like to believers that think it still rotates around the earth?

  First, the NFL is a private organization, and therefore, the govt. has not authority to tell them how to handle religion.
  Second, why does it matter if God exists or not? Yes, many horrible things have been done in God's name over the years, but much good has been done as well. Also, elvismilk, just because there is no scientific proof that there is a God, doesn't mean there isn't one. It's only by HUMAN arrogance, not Christian, that someone could make such a bold statement without proof to the contrary.
