Dont tell me about Cap space.........Time to let them go

As an Eagles fan all I hear on a daily basis is how little cap room we have. ...........Heres something we can all agree on Cut Darren Howard and Jevon Kearse, Jerome McDougle. Jevon's making $8,585,000 (6.46M base salary+2M proration+125K workout bonus) next year Darrens making $3,200,000 (2.5M base salary+700K) Jerome our great bust is making 2008: $1,982,500 (950K base salary+500K proration+532.5K).

Thats allmost 12 mil. being wasted if we keep them I feel bad for Jevon Kearse because of his injury problems and I do think theres some football left in him I just dont want our team to be the ones taking the chance. McNabb is the man but Donovan you want playmakers you have to be willing to take a little bit of a pay cut. The thing is we dont have a true GM Tom Heckert is just there as a puppet and Big Red wont draft anything but DE and DT and O-linemen Jeffrey Lurie and Joe Banner need to get a real GM. Andy is a great coach but he needs to stay away from drafting players or deciding on Free Agents. This offseason we our Birds to be willing to spend as much as possible so we can put the best product on the field. Look we all know the Cowgirls will try to make moves, the Redskins always make moves. In 04 we made a big splash by getting Owens and Kearse. Yeah it blew up on us but we still had a chance at a title. For all my birds fans out here let me ask you this....Don't you want to see a parade down Broad Street? I know number 5 wants to make that happen. I know Weapon X wants to see that happen, I know Big Jon and B-West both want to see that too. Free up cap space get the playmakers and let us Philly fans have something to cheer about. 25 years is a long time ladies n gents and the window of oppourtunity for the birds is closing. Make moves now because I dont want to have another era of Doug Pedersons....for the love of God the NFC East has 11 total Super Bowl winners we have none..... I WANT MY BIRDS TO WIN A LOMBARDI..............I want Dawk to win one before he retires, I want Jon to win one for all the times hes punched Strahan in the face, and I want Donovan to win one so we can prove to the rest of the world that he is our John Elway.....Whether you agree with me or not ...... we can all say E A G L E S EAGLES!!!!!!

i'm with you 200%!!!!

With D Nabb running the show we will get back to the big game. Go Eagles.

thats what im talking about I agree with you 110%. GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!

AGREED!! Not demeaning Kearse or Howard, but it's about time to lay the axe!

Thats a huge amount of money! How much is already lost to cap and what would be available if they did make the cut. A minimum, Kearse and Howard should be men about it and restructure there contracts.

totally agree! kearse has really not a lot left in the tank let him finish his career somewhere else, been a good guy here but he's done in philly. howard has been a bust, esp. for the amount of money the birds gave him. go back to NO, buddy, they could use you. mcdougle would have been cut 2 years ago if i was running the show. absolute bust if you ask me.

Jon Runyan, Westbrook, Dawk, McNabb ... these guys deserve a championsip. Philly fans deserve a parade, the Giants just proved to us that any team can win with a little heart & pressure. Our window has been closing for years - PLEASE either close it or go through it already!

Yes Reid needs to let go of his player personel duties, he should just stick to coaching which of late has been very spectacular. Failure to make the proper game time adjustments waisting crucial timeouts, thsi has to stop. I mean look at what happpened when Holmgren was relieved of his duities, it's been proven that coaches dont make good GM's. I dont know why Heckert's around when he has no final say anyway. I like Reid but he needs to come off his high horse and let someone else run the show as far as GM.

And if he wont relinquish those duties Lurie needs to grow a pair of balls and take control of his team., instead of letting Reid play puppet master with Heckert, and Banner. Sometimes I swear Reid owns the team, and not Lurie, being as though we only see Lurie at bookmobile, and save the environment events.

you see lurie at red sox games!! he doesn't care he's taking our money anyway!!!

To me it's time that the owner needs to clamp down some. I'm sorry if Andy were a player like say trotter, he would have been fired two years ago.

I agree with you 110%. While we getting rid of trash, let's get it all out. Reno, I DO NOT want to see this bum on the field AGAIN (Garbage). Greg Lewis - he's helped out here & there but his is also taking up space, Buckhalter (good guy) but injury prone move him out as well and let's see what Tony Hunt has. I just want to win. If the Giants could do it - The EAGLES definitely can. Let's Go Eagles!!!!!!

get rid of sean constipated while were at it and will peterson or james maybe he should change his name to toast next year!!! hire a better o- coordinator!!! cause sorry marty we ain't playing arena ball and i saw what you did with the potent offense you put together in detroit!!!!! i time to wake up and smell the coffee lurie!!!!

Constipated...your killing me today! I agree

I knew i was missing a few whacks. I wanted Sean Considine cut right after he got run over by heath miller and as for will james or peterson or whatever he wants to be called he shouldve never been signed in the first place

the problem with the peterson experiment was they wouldn't sign rod hood back!!! look at the good d-backs we released!!! i still get upset when i watch green bay play and see my boy al harris kickin' ass!!! grant it suxico tore him up but al is one of the best d-backs around today!!! rod hood another good corner!!! we could've had sheldon take over for dawk while he was injured and q at safeties cut constipated and kept hood and lito as the starters last year drafted a good draft pick and watch have him learn joselio could hold his own as a dime or nickel back!!!! thats because of harbaugh being moved after spags left!!! it's just so so frustrating we on here are regular joes and can see and smell the bullshit!!!

"HEY LURIE! REID AND BANNER AND THE REST OF THE POSSE ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY!!!" "HOW DO YOU EXPECT YOUR COACH TO MANAGE A TEAM WHEN HE CAN'T EVEN MANAGE A GAME CLOCK?"
COME TAKE YOUR PRIVATE FLIGHT FROM BOSTON TO PHILLY AND CHECK OUT WHAT'S GOIN' ON!!! WHILE YOUR IN BOSTON CHECK OUT THAT TEAM THEY CALL THE PATRIOTS AND SEE WHAT THEY DO IN ORDER TO WIN!!! THEN SEE IF YOU CAAN IMPLEMENT THEIR STRUCTURE!!! SEE WHAT THEY DO WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN THE BIG GAMES!!!"

i agree with you when you say cut darren howard and mcdougale but not kearse the eagles will probaly use him as a backup to trent cole and juqua thomas, he will make a great backup to them, i just dont think victor abimari is ready to take over for kearse either.

cut all those ,they either got hurt or never panned out to be all that,so i say off with thier heads!

HELL YA MUTHAPHUCKAS THEY GOIN BE BLEEDIN GREEN SON, BROAD WAY BETTER GET READY, CAUSE THE BLACK UNITAS IS MARCHIN DOWN THE ROAD WIT HIS BLING, LETS GET A BROTHA SOME WINGS AND WEAPONS

they just cut Kearse, i am a happy man. we got to get a WR maby we can snag FITZ from Arizona
