I absolutely love everything that Darren McFadden has to bring to the NFL and for the past several weeks depending on which team he went to, I highly....

They're going to get everything they want out of me." - Dewey

Oakland Raiders Draft Party: Pictures Video and Thoughts of the gathering of the Nation

Today was the first day of the NFL Draft. Rob and I covered it from the Oakland Raiders Booster Clubs' draft party at Ricky's Sports Theater Bar and Grill in San Leandro, California. The Raider Nation was out in force to watch the Darren McFadden become the newest Raider. Jarrod Cooper, Oren O'Neal, Hiram Eugene were among the players who were on hand to sign and talk...

Oakland Raiders: More rookie free agents signed

The Raiders on the heels of the 2008 NFL draft, have signed another three free agents to come in and compete for roster spots this season. Needing more linebackers, they signed OLB, Malik Jackson from Louisville. For some reason, the Raiders still need to add more cornerbacks to the roster and signed Derrick Brown from Southern Utah. They also signed a center from Missouri, Adam Spieker.

Al Davis's mandate was Darren McFadden: Thoughts from a Reader's Side

The Raiders picked Darren McFadden, and there have been several questions from you guys in the comment box about why the Raiders picked McFadden with Glenn Dorsey still on the board. In fact, that was the first thing I thought as well. Spencer Mills aka OakFoSho of The Cold Shoulder, the SJ Sharks MVN site, fame has written his thoughts on why it was Al Davis's mandate to pick Darren McFadden.

Oakland Raiders: Rookie free agent signings

As of 9:42pm pst, the Raiders have continued to work on their rookie class by signing three undrafted free agents. The Raiders only had five draft picks in the seven round draft and only one pick prior to the fourth round. The players signed are Chris Wagner, TE, South Dakota State; Louis Rankin, RB, Washington (I guess you can never have too many); Shane Simmons, ILB, Western Washington.

McFadden's sister plans to look after him

i found this article thought i'd share it so you can all see ,how close he is to his family and i know some have questioned his character , well i think he does a pretty good job of showing he's 1st class so check it out if you want to. my favorite line from the whole article right here;"I'm going to take care of my family, buy my mom a house, buy my dad a house...

Oakland Raiders Shocker: Rhodes released

After hauling in Darren McFadden, you had to know that the Raiders weren't going to keep all of their veteran running backs on the roster. The consensus pick to be released by the Raiders was Lamont Jordan. The shocker is that Dominic Rhodes is the first back to be released by the Oakland Raiders. Rhodes only had one season left on his contract, so the cap hit shouldn't be too substantive.

Who Will Star in the Raiders Backfield?

It was the fourth overall pick that garnered the most attention from fantasy managers through out the nation, just like it was the second overall pick two years ago when Reggie Bush was the top running back chosen. Even last season, all fantasy football managers knew about Adrian Peterson and his sensational college career before he stepped foot on an NFL football field, and he wasn...

McFadden offers Raiders a chance at rejuvenation

On Thursday, Raiders coach Lane Kiffin reiterated what he had said earlier this month: Darren McFadden wasn't needed in Oakland because the Raiders are loaded at the position. This week, McFadden's mother, Mini Muhammad, was quoted as saying she thought the Bay Area was too big for her Little Rock, Ark., bred son -- thus she didn't want him to be drafted by the Raiders. ...

Oakland Raiders Draft Wrap: Darren McFadden the linchpin to any draft grade

The 2008 edition of the NFL Draft extravaganza now resides in the history books, and the Oakland Raiders have added the names Darren McFadden, Tyvon Branch, Arman Shields, Trevor Scott, and Chaz Schilens to their roster as draftees. Several undrafted free agents were added after the fact to no fanfare, some of them may pull a Tommy Kelly or Chris Carr and make the team, but they...

Draft Day 2 Live Blog:What was Al Davis thinking with the Tyvon Branch draft pick?

Al Davis made a head scratcher of a move by giving up the Oakland Raiders' seventh round pick to trade up in the fourth round to select cornerback Tyvon Branch out of Connecticut. Cornerback is far from a position of need in Oakland as they already have Nnamdi Asomuga and DeAngelo Hall as starters and Stanford Routt in the nickel. The Raiders could have used that pick to address...

Welcome to the Raider Nation, Darren McFadden

The mood at Ricky's was electric as the Raiders were on the clock with the fourth overall pick. Roger Goodell strode to the podium to announce that the pick was Darren McFadden, running back out of Arkansas. The response was mixed as his name was announced, but he is now a member of the Oakland Raiders.

Draft Day 2 Live Block: Raiders select Trevor Scott, DE Buffalo

The Oakland Raiders waited until the sixth round, but they finally addressed their need at defensive end by selecting Trevor Scott from Buffalo. He likely won't be an instant contributer, but could be a solid pickup for some depth along the defensive line.

TFDS FINAL MOCK Draft Completed

We don't like it, but it's done and it's ours. Patrick and I were able to put together the first annual TFDS Final Mock Draft. We know that by tomorrow afternoon, it will be completely useless. That's Ok though, we figured that we should have our own official site mock so…well… so we could be mocked by all of you later.
