Eagles DT Mike Patterson was busted for possession of marijuana back in February, but today we learned that Patterson was only charged with "careless driving", completely avoiding any possession charges. While Patterson could still be penalized by the NFL, this likely means he won't miss any games and will instead get some type of monetary penalty.
This is definitely good news for the Eagles, although Patterson was never likely to get a serious penalty because it was his first offense. The NFL seems to only really crack down on repeat offenders, like Pacman Jones. Hopefully Patterson learns his lesson from this incident and stays out of further trouble.

Heckert And Reid Clue Us In
We know about the frenzy in the days leading to the NFL draft. The phones are ringing off the hook. Teams are lining up their options. Scenarios are being discussed and the final, final, final grades on placed on every player. But what about now? What is it like 2 1/2 weeks before the draft? Eagles General Manager Tom Heckert knows the routine, has it stamped down, understands that...
Brandon Albert it is
I'm convinced! Ron Burke is the man so if he says it, it must be true!
Ok so I'm not totally convinced we're taking Albert, but here is Ron Burke's mock draft.
Eagles Host Texas TE Finley
Texas tight end Jermichael Finley worked out for the Eagles yesterday, a source close to the situation said.
Finley, who turned 21 last month, left Texas with 2 years of eligibility remaining; some experts felt he should have stayed for more seasoning.
But despite a disappointing 4.82-second 40-yard clocking at the NFL Scouting Combine, Finley, 6-5, 243, seems to rank reasonably...
Lighter, faster Coles
Philadelphiaeagles.com has an article up about Pro-Bowl defensive end Trent Cole, where he talks about the possibilities of the new additions on defense. The most interesting note in there is the fact Coles plans to play next season at 10 pounds lighter then his 2007 playing weight of 265.
McNabb is pumped for a show, not a tell
Good read on McNabb's offseason. Most of us know how seriously he takes his conditioning, looks like he stepped it up a bit this year. I'm looking forward to a beast year from you DM5, keep it up.
Go EAGLES!
Lets talk Eagles Draft Needs
Everyone has seen all the mock drafts concerning the Eagles. I want to gauge what positions are needed the most. With the 19th overall pick I think the birds should take a shot at that Phillips kid. We need someone to eventually replace Dawk. Next I target a WR. The draft is actually pretty deep at this position. I know alot of you really like the kid from Cal, but do we really need...
Eagles Want More Tightends?
Seems the Eagles want to add another tightend to the training camp fight. Texas tight end Jermichael Finley came in and worked out for the Eagles yesterday. I agree, stack them up. We have no idea what L.J. will look like next year. Hopefully its the guy we knew before the 2007 season. We are known to keep three tightends what three will they be this year? (1) L.J. Smith, (2) Kris...
Eagles host WRs
In addition to hosting DeSean Jackson, the Eagles have apparrently hosted Devin Thomas and James Hardy this week. Looks like the FO is serious about taking a WR.
Listing Some Areas The Eagles Can Address
What the Eagles have assembled is a roster with Pro Bowl talent at the top, emerging players in the middle and some interesting competition toward the rear. It has been an excellent offseason, highlighted by the free-agent signing of cornerback Asante Samuel and then the signing of defensive end Chris Clemons, and filled in with additions like Dan Klecko, Rocky Boiman and Kris Wilson...
What will Eagles do at 19?
If the link was already posted, my bad on the duplicate post, if not check it out Eagles fans. I don't know what the Eagles will do come draft day. Will they stay at 19, will they trade the pick and move up, who knows. It does look like the Eagles do have a lot of options should they stay at 19. Should be interesting.
Eagles DT Mike Patterson is off the hook!
According to profootballtalk, rotoworld, and delaware county times - A judge has dismissed marijuana charges against Eagles DT Mike Patterson.
Patterson was fined $189 for careless driving, but he dodged the more serious charge of driving while in possession of a controlled substance. With no history of off-field problems, this decision should ensure that Patterson will escape...

Jenkins, Thomas, or Jackson
Its hard to say, i like all of em but we only got one pick, i say Devin be our guy. Jenkins willl be fine if we trade lito but then we dont get Earl Bennett, i also like Jameel McClain as the hybrid LB, other versatile players are Reggie Smith (who was also WR, KR, S) DaJuan Morgan (started as WR, KR, could be THE next SS but also a protoype FS) I want Bennett, Morgan, Jenkins,...
Nice Eagle's Goal line look...
I like a 3 tight End look, maybe Smith, Celek, and Kris Williams. Then West and Klecko ( if he wins the job). That'll score some points. What new things would you try to do with the new acquisitions, and players we have, in certain situations?
