No, it's not Randy Moss or Donte' Stallworth. The Eagles signed wide receiver Brandon "Bam" Childress, who has been on the Patriots practice squad for the last few years, to a two year contract. This is not the move for a playmaker that we have been waiting for, as Childress has only 3 career receptions.

SUP FELLOW EAGLE FANS! I'm a rookie to yardbarker and this is my 1st comment! Yes, this is not the playmaker Eagle Nation is waiting for but I guess it adds competition (I GUESS IF YOU CALL 3-5 CAREER REC. COMPETITION LOL). I will always believe and bleed green so whatever our team does I will follow in 08 with the hopes of a championship!

WTF..? who the h3ll is dis dude?? ya kno wat i heard the pats aint franchise tag Randy moss yet, an they can't now.. If they do resign him they're gonna hav 2 pay him double since dey gave him a paycut.. which will be 2 expensive for new England.. so Eagles betta act quick

Maybe this year they are lining up some major competition for the KR/PR spot on the team. Lord knows we already have a bunch of nobody's for receivers on the active and practice roster.

Sounds a little on the small side. Might be why he was never picked up. Doubt he's anything other than a depth signing.
  • he'll be cut before the regular season if he even makes it that far yet again another joke

I really don't think the Eagles are expecting anything out of this guy

Well ...He looks to add some-depth and a little competition to the PR/KR position.
from what I've read about him, when he was a Patriot:

a.Patriots WR Bam Childress caught six passes for 116 yards in New England's preseason finale, but did have a fumble.

    b. While the Patriots were starting Jabar Gaffney, Childress had be feeling a little left behind. "Bam" was highly productive in the preseason but New England seems to envision him as no more than a special teamer.

So ... maybe a decent pick-up at this time of the season.

oooohh wow more bargain basement guys that wont make the team and wont beat G-Lew out for a roster spot. Thanks AR for for bringing us the playmaker we need.

My thoughts exactly.what a colossal waste of f-ing time!

Everyone needs to calm down. This signing is just for depth and maybe a kr/pr and that is all. I am sure that AR and crew has bigger plans than a guy signed from a practice squad. Free agency is still a week away and NOBODY knows what AR's plans are.

If Moss doesnt get a new deal with the Patriots the Eagles should go after him
  • 36Eagles5
give bam a chance dont judge him before he accually plays
  • justhiggz
He's a 4th WR and a special teamer at best.

you ask who is this guy? put up an impressive total of 33 catches for 300+ yards in four years at ohio st.. WHAT A JOKE!
  • The Eagles need a receiver whether it be Larry Fitzgerald, or Chad Johnson, or Randy Moss. If the Eagles want to be a contender in the Nfc East they need a receiver. And they wont trade Mcnabb or Westbrook to do it.
