Eagles WR option (Bryant Johnson)

What do you guys think of Bryant Johnson? His numbers aren't great but look who he was playing behind. It kinda reminds me of curtis? I think this guy has what it takes to be a tall, big, #1 receiver. Because it looks like all the WRs are being taken.

Profootballtalk.com is reporting Moss back to the Patriots 3 years 27 million.

I think you guys got it all wrong. Why would Johnson want to go play for either of those teams. Forget money Samual could of got paid elswere, but he wanted a winner with good money. Johnson could be a real good #1 he proved that last year when Fitz and Boulden went down. BRING JOHNSON TO PHILLY PLEASE,

Yes... Bryant Johnson is ready to break out and he has the size to become a #1 WR. I think he is 6'3" 220.

I'd love to see Johnson in an Eagle jersey...problem is I wouldn't want to pay the price the Bills or Bears will give him. Both of those teams need a WR worse than Philly and they'll pay good money for one.

I agree with DTRIK19. Johnson would be a good addition to the Eagles, I don't believe however he is a #1 reciever, but he is a big tall reciever who could do a lot for the eagles in the red zone. But if the price is too high, you can forget about it. Everyone should just start getting used to the Eagles recievers as is, because it is the way it will be next year. Curtis, Brown, and Avant/Baskett/Lewis. They will possibly add another WR in the draft, say 2nd or 3rd round, but nothing outstanding. As long as the O-line improves in pass protection this year, with a healthy donovan, they will be OK, not great, or even good, but OK.

Bryant johnson sounds good for the Eagles unless if eagles address it in Free Agency and or stciks with having either Avant or Baskett as the Other Reciever... Which would probably be the Case i was so excited with the whole Moss deal maybe even fitzgerald but it aint happening so i might as well accept what we have not that they are sucky recievers but a number one that dont seem to work but if the Eagles Draft a WR they better use the Receivers they have right now like hank baskett as a second curtis as a slot and brown as the eventual first and work like that but they dont seem to try to put that scheme as so.... Lj is healthy westbrook is awesome mcnabb is healthy a Mediocre Season i hope not a great season i hope so but if they dont answer that position than we aint going to far but anything can happen...

DRAFT not free agency sorry folks

MAN FUK THE DRAFT... we aint gonna get the receiver THAT WE NEED.. i want javon walker & i really dont favor bryant johnson.. but he's better then nothing!!!!

Like I said the draft is gonna take 2 long 2 develop a young WR.. 2 damn long!!!!!

im with man, i want my boy donny to get a ring and we need a top WR NOW!!! to do that

yea walker would be great, especially when his knee goes! we can't get the guy we need in the draft...WRONG. We could easily get the guy we need (a big physical receiver who can make catches in the red zone) in the draft. Anybody remember Marques Colston? yea thought so

haha u serious dtrik, what are the odds that we get a marques colston in the draft, regardless...we wont play a rookie receiver this year, and we need a receiver for this year..come on now

Chances are slim, but I responding to the person who said draft picks take too long to develop. I was simply pointing out that there are guys out there, even as late as the 7th round, who can come into the leage and produce NOW! A guy like James Hardy could fit that bill. This is where scouting comes into play, and we have to get it right sooner or later

no.. just no.

Yeah I think thats what it will come down too, shit then DO NOT TRADE LITO, our D will be sick next year!

i would love to sighn bryant johnson hes a big guy and with brown/curtis thats a pretty good core and you can get a receiver in the draft

bears are not going to meet with him now, dont know why

Bryant Johnson is a good reciever and playing behind Fitz and Boldin he definitely didnt get to showcase his full talents, but i dont think hes the answer to the #1 situation in philly. The eagles need a tall reciever. There are a few 6'2"+ recievers we can take first or even second round. So maybe a Johnson, Brown, and Curtis in the slot, then add a tall rookie to come in the 4th spot if need be.

i still say Lee Evans wuldnt be a bad choice, he's obviously expendable at this point given his contract situation.

I just think getting him and hoping he'll be a big number is basically the same thing we've done with Torrence Small, Charles Johnson, Todd Pinkston, Greg Lewis, Jason Avant, and Hank Baskett. So I'd rather a more mature ready player. And as the draft goes do I really need to say Freddie Mitchell?

pretty good behind fitz and boldin... 6'3" 216.... id give him a shot

isnt celek pretty big? why cant he be our "big physical presence" in the red zone? and dont tell me he didnt show u anything last year because first of all--yes he did, second of all he was a rookie and third of all, donny wasnt really throwing his way too much

MAN FUCK THE DRAFT!!! we aint gonna get the WR THAT WE NEED!!! I want Javon Walker & I dont favor Bryant Johnson, but he's better den nobody!!!

Like i said the draft will take 2 long 2 develop a young WR.. 2 damn long!!!!

i'd rather have my little sister on our team than javon walker

y..? javon Walker is injury prone i agree but he may be bak 100%.. i think he's worth the risk.. D-NABB is injury prone 2.. but he's still our guy.. give him a shot

Just as I think Super 5 will be bak 100% next yr Javon will be 2 and with a great team!1

I agree bring Walker in he'll be back at 100% same with McNabb but also bring in Johnson he's a guy who can strecth the field and is big enough for a endzone target we want and need

If we arent gonna trade for a WR then Bryant Johnson is the last chance at a good WR.

bryant johnson's going to the bills, thank god!! all the number 2's and 3's are gone!!! except for dj hackett, all we need is for him to be picked up and then we'll be FORCED to acquire a number one somehow!!!

walker is a mess screw that

Did anybody else hear Larry on 610 yesterday with Howard Eskin? Larry says the Cards would want to extend his contract to relieve some of their cap room for the next upcoming years because i think his number is somewhere around 16 million? If they don't want to sign him to a top 3 long term deal than they may be forced to move him. He says he would play in Philly, New York (Giants), New England, or pretty much anywhere else he can win. I was actually pretty surprised how much he sounded like he didn't think the deal would be done. I don't think we would see anything until closer to the draft, but it IS real and it COULD happen. Keep your fingers crossed!

Tell me what you guys think i heard him talking on the WIP 610...

i want a superstar now. i would go towards the draft but the longer it takes for fitz to resign the more i want him. if we did go towards the draft i would only want hardy, maningham or sweed.
