Another day, another Eagles rumor. This one seems pretty far fetched, however. The St. Louis Rams have two players with hefty contracts: wide receiver Torry Holt and tackle Orlando Pace. Holt has recently switched agents so he is represented by the same agent as Pace. The two veteran players now appear to be linked together as the Rams decide whether to release them, trade them or try to re-structure their contracts. The Rams would save the most money if they could find another team willing t...

This one seems much more unlikely than the Boldin rumors....

The Boldin rumors aren't too unlikely, considering that the Eagles attempted to trade for him last year. If Boldin's words are true and he does not wish to work things out with the Cards then he is an Eagle as long as the birds don't play around. Now the Holt and pace rumors are just ridiculous.
  • Holt is washed up

i can't agree with you their dabirds. Holt is on a team with a terrible qb situation and a horrible o-line.

Enriquefed, how is this unikely. I would say the Boldin trade is unlike;ly, it reminds me of Chad Johnsons situation last year, and look how that turned out? The Rams are a team thats rebuilding so they could package Holt and Pace in a deal to help them build for the future. SPags has connections with the Eagles and IF the Andy gets a good offer he wont resis ton a guy like Pace. Plus Holt isnt washed up this was his first down year in an offense who coould not protect their qb.

It's unlikely for the reasons in the article: these guys will have to re-structure their deals or the Eagles won't touch them

I like it but Holt knee bothers me some.

The Eagles might as well stick with Tra Thomas. Let one old declining LT go for another one? And why trade for Holt when you can just sign for Housh w/o giving up anything?? The Eagles FO makes many unpopular decision but not this stupid....

Yeah tahs true. pace is old run down nag and Holt could be damaged. Housh safe choice can only help and might come at reasonable price. Im slowly considering this best option. i dont want Boldin because of D-jax. Im convinced he is a future star and a #1. Boldin will bring his ego.
  • i thot torry wanted to go to the panthers
come on Eagles dont waste ur time go with BOLDIN

"Go with Boldin?" That would mean the Cardinals would have to want to trade him...and they don't.

Boldin is not that big, he's only 6'1" hes probably the toughest wr in the league, but he isn't going to grab those jump balls, only Braylon, Plax, Larry, Andre, Calvin, Randy, T.O. and Roy Williams do that for you, thats why every decent WR corps has a tall WO or a TE whos forgotten how to drop a ball (Tony G, Antonio G, Witten, Dallas, Chris Cooley) If we get Reggie Williams and Boldin then I guess, but Boldin is not a big Fitz, hes a strong grind it out WO who any team would love to have, he can get open in any cover scheme, and he does well in man, he definitely commands double team, I think Curtis will be a big factor next year, look for DeSean to break 1,000 and have around 8 tds, hell be short of ten but itll be okay for Fraction, if we get a #1 look for them to get AT LEAST 14 TDs 1200 yds AT LEAST,

forget holt and pace, gross and boldin are more likely scenerios think about it gross is a free agent and theirs no way the cardinals dont trade boldin, it wont go like the ocho cinco deal he had a lot more time and money at stake, boldin has two seasons left on his deal if arizona's hit wit a 1st and 3rd their gonna unload him just for the simple fact that if he sits next season his value is just gonna decrease until he's a free agent, once he rejects arizonas offer they will shop him fitz is their future, he should've been our future last season

PHIL LOADHOLT DO YOU SEE HOW ANNOYING THIS IS BUD WERE NOT COACHING THIS A WEBSITE WHERE YOU WRITE WHAT YOU FEEL CHILL OUT BROOOOO shonn greene, phillyloadholt, ramses, tonyg and housh dream team right thur
  • I think Spags and his front office will be smarter than most make them out to be. They will ask for restructures for both guys and longer deals so they can confidently finish their careers there. Spags won't let these guys disappear.
