Fourteen. Fourteen freaking dropped balls. That is almost 3 dropped passes a game. That means 2-3 at Week 6. So, am I surprised? No, and here's why. The Eagles front office has set this team up for disaster. By bringing back Donovan McNabb for this season, the Eagles basically told the whole league, "We are going to throw the football". What the Eagles didn't do, however, is go out and get somebody for McNabb to throw the ball to (a la any #1 wide receiver and/or any other TE other than LJ Smith). So now Eagles fans are basically stuck watching a form of two plays on offense. Either, (A) our sub-par wide receivers get covered and/or drop balls, or (B) we watch 12th string RB turned FB, Tony Hunt, create phantom holes for our runningbacks to not run through. On the defensive side, Eagles fans also watch a form of two plays. On one hand, we watch the opposing runningback, who always has the luxury of a real NFL FB as well as a TE who blocks, run for 100+ ...

  • Don't have to worry about Hunt trying to open holes anymore as they have now switched Klecko BACK to FB and have him at #1 on the depth chart this week going to San Fran. We never relied to heavily in the first place, but I have to say, I kinda miss Tapeh.
  • reid said tapeh can't catch!!! a fb 's job is to block anyway!!! speaking of if you can't catch why did we keep reggie clown and LJ then!!!
  • yea wr's and te's aren't supposed to catch. what makes u think that?
  • Mcnabb does throw a bad pass or two, but what QB dosen't??? I am willing to bet that "Raggy" Reggie Brown is responsible for alot of those dropped passes!
  • try most!
  • it is pretty pathetic that while our offense passes like 65% of the time, and all the teams in the NFL know that, we still have recievers that would be #3 recievers on other teams starting
    eagles FO sucks!!!!!
  • That's exactly it. We have a great QB with 2 or 3rd rate receivers. He supposedly made a play for Moss and possibly Boldin. He has to make HARDER plays for them. Stop "trying" to get receivers just make it happen!

  • i'm not surprised at all. but what do u expect from reggie clown, glew, and lj? they couldn't catch the subway to city hall.
  • You all need to remember that Reid and the FO went after Moss and tried to make a move with Arizona in the offseason. Other than that there wasn't any other free agents worth going after. It still doesn't excuse the last 9 years in the Reid regime and all the terrible draft picks and inability to sign a great wide receiver for Mcnabb. Let's face it Mcnabb can't do the things he used to and him just being a drop back passer with the guys we have available isn't going to take us anywhere. We're now the worst team in our division and all interdivision games are going to be painful to watch.
  • Obviously they didn't TRY hard enough. It looks so good for them to say they tried but were turned down. With the salary cap being what it is, and the amounts of draft picks they have coming up they could have and should have made a deal no-one could say no to.
  • i truly believe that they didn't go after him. we have been lied to so much that i don't know what to believe anymore. they said just to get some good publicity with the fans.
  • And that's exactly what I'm saying. We have all this money left in the salary cap, how could they "make" an offer someone can refuse!
Guess we'll have to get LILEAGLE to write an article on this. LOL
  • I'm shocked....

Patriots Acquire WR Greg Lewis from Eagles

The Patriots have just filled a void at receiver by acquiring wide receiver Greg Lewis.  Adam Schefter was the first to report the trade.  It will most likely be for a conditional draft pick. I might be in the minority, but I really like this trade.  It probably won't be for ...

Greg Lewis Traded to Patriots

The Eagles have dealt seldom used wide receiver Greg Lewis to the Patriots, according to NFL Network guru Adam Schefter. The little man known as G-Lew lasted seven seasons in Philly. Amazing. He gave it his all but dropped passes and inconsistency hindered his development. No word yet on what the Birds got in return. I [...]

Tra & B-Dawk

I usually don't remark about teammates unless asked but I felt it was necessary to share my thoughts on a couple of teammates that are no longer in Philadelphia. I have been a part of the Philadelphia Eagles for 10 years and I have not played a game, attended a practice, sweated in training camp, built a playground or participated in a Carnival, and more importantly dreamed of...

The Blame Game: The vast majority of Eagles fans want the Kolb era to begin in Philadelphia?!?! Not this guy.

If the above statement were true, then I would have to conclude that the majority of Eagles fans who wish to have Donovan McNabb benched are idiots. If you people who hate on #5 have anything to be thankful about this Thanksgiving, it should be that you were blessed to have on your team, one of the most revered and dominant QBs to play in the NFL in the past 25 years. In his 10th...

Has Anyone Seen Reggie Brown?

think the nickname "Reggie the Clown" would actually be a compliment at this point. Clowns are at least funny, Reggie's play is absolutely pathetic as of late. Reggie Brown was never a stud WR, but he was never this bad. Coming into the season I was hoping for another year of slow and steady, continued improvement from Brown. In each of the previous seasons his...

Key Fantasy Matchups for Sunday's Eagles-49′ers Matchup

From: KFFL.com Eagles QB Donovan McNabb vs. 49ers defense McNabb held a team meeting the day after the Eagles' most recent loss. It's Wide Open: NFL Week 6 Predictions

This NFL season is shaping into a good one. There is no favorite in either league, instead you have a number of teams that will be battling it out all season long. The NFC is completely loaded in one division and it looks like whoever survives in the NFC East will be the Super Bowl favorite. In the AFC, the contenders are starting to separate themselves from the pretenders. The Titans...

AA Interview With Curtis Granderson

I don't know what it is, but I'm kind of anti website interviews. Don't get me wrong, I think other sites do it well, but there just aren't enough people that I like to do them on a regular basis. I've of course interviewed Gus Johnson, and one Shred Nugent, so I usually save questions for people I find intriguing. One of those people is Detroit Tiger, and...
