Eagles still shopping for WR?

If the Eagles' supposed interest in Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald was sincere, it's no secret it feels it needs a more viable threat in the passing game than what is on the current roster. Forget Chad Johnson. The Bengals are playing hardball with him and are not going to deal him and he may be as much trouble as he is worth, and he's worth plenty. Detroit's Roy Williams should be the target. His quotes this past week in which he admitted he thought he was going to be traded before, or during, the draft, speaks volumes. One veteran, who will remain nameless at this time, told me last week his agent told him he could be part of a trade package with Lito Sheppard. So something could still be in the works.

Wow...I like da way this guy thinks, but a first and sheppard?

hm... a name on that veteran would be nice..:P
ok article, i'll give u a thumb up

i doubt all of dis stuff, but oh well.

sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make things happen and if we want a top flight wr they need to do what is nesessary. make the move.

Of course Andy will try his best to upgrade WR, if anyone is available, true to any position. But i don't think anyone is available, or will become available.

This is nothing but another reporter still trying to stir the pot. I also blogged this article I think it's nothing but speculation, come on a player that shall remain nameless? Please!!!!!!!!! That's high school rumor BS.

HAHA I was going to post this article earlier, then I realized this guy had absolutely NOTHING to say. No valuable insight or inside information, just had to write an article to earn his paycheck. In fact, the guy who wrote this article is probably a YB regular. Thanks for nothing man!

fo real

hahaha yeah he spelled stuff wrong and everything...screw that its boldin not bolden HAHA

let's face it!! it's not happening!!!! im sick of hearing about!!! reid's happy with our wide outs!!! let's move on!!!

Mark Eckel makes his living off of Eagles rumors, stating on the radio that he knows something that nobody else knows, and BS evaluations. I'd say the key to our WR problems has to be solved by creative playcalling and exploiting matchups.

can the eagles afford to pay a true #1, and curtis and reggie brown the total money for WR's would be really high.... Curtis gets paid like a 1.5 WR

we know what we have we 3 awesome Corner's... if one gets hurt in training camp we are screwed with only 1 good one left if lito is gone... i'd rather be deep on defense

Do a little research before asking a question with such an obvious answer. They have about $19 million left in cap space (before signing draft picks.) and depth is one thing, keeping everybody happy will be damn near impossible....remember Al Harris? and that was before he was a probowler

Just curious... but when you have 3 awesome corners and you take away one due to an injury how are you left with one???
In all seriousl though, if something happens about acquiring a WR great... but we need to get prepared as if its NOT going to happen and plan on playing with what we got! At least the FO office is showing a little bit of faith in what we have at the WR position... because a lot of people certainly aren't building any self esteem to the guys we have. Lets get behind them and show them we have a little faith in them.

I can't talk wr's no more with the Eagles I am sick of all the rumors getting my hopes up and still nothing...
Here are your following wr's the eagles have been in talk with...
Larry Fitzgeral
A.Bouldin
R.williams
T.holt
Chad johnson
matt jones
m.clayton from tampa
It is a headache... Now they are saying they are going to sighn chad on 6/1/08 because of salary cap reasons...This is such a headache all these rumors... and with no results

I'm accepting the fact that we're gonna go into the season with the CB's we have and the WR's we have on roster already...

LETS HOPE ITS NOT JOE HORN !!!!!

It's Mark Eckle....

The same guy who wrote "by the time you read this LeCharles Bentley will be a Philadelphia Eagle."

I'll be honest, I really think the eagles will have a new receiver before camp begins.

These two teams the Bengal's and the Lions are asking for two #1 draft picks for either Chad or Roy. The Eagles currently have two first round picks and if they trade Lito to a willing team they may have three first round selections.

I don't see the birds coveting first round picks so much that they need to stockpile them, after all they only traded away the last two years first round picks.

So look for them to trade one or two of these picks in order to get Roy Williams or Chad Johnson. Personally I agree with Srosen...I would rather see Roy Williams in midnight green.

Chad wants out of Cinci because the team, media and town are placing the blame for the Bengals misfortunes squarely on the shoulders of Ocho Cinco. Or so Chad says. But If he thinks Cincinnati is bad with pointing their fingers, Philadelphia would give him the same treatment if he deserves it, tenfold.

So obviously Roy Willaims would be the better fit in this town. Plus he's younger.

They value first round picks more than they do WRs. They are unwilling to trade a first round pick on a WR.

ya andy lives for the draft.
