Looks like it may actually be possible for an Eagle to get his contract
re-worked. Where Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown have failed, it looks
like Donovan McNabb is going to succeed in getting a new deal, at least
according to Derrick Gunn of Comcast Sportsnet. I guess if you are
named to 5 Pro Bowls and lead the team to numerous NFC Championship
Games, the Eagles are willing to open up their wallets for you.According to Gunn, the Eagles are working on a deal with McNabb that wouldn't extend his
deal past its current two-year span, instead it would give him a raise
over...Click the link for more on McNabb and the Birds....

Busy Time of Year
Time to check in again. I wanted to make sure that I reach out and communicate directly with you guys as we get ready for a couple of weeks of team practices. Things are going well for me this offseason – still working hard in Arizona (although I took a brief golf vacation with my family about a week ago. We get very competitive!). I returned to Philadelphia late last week and...
Three Hours on Sunday
Many people only see the end results. To wear nice suits and live in nice homes comes with a price. Many see us on Sunday, and figure that our lives as NFL players are easy. Well, I have news for them. The price we pay is great, but so is the reward. We have been working hard since, March 16, perfecting our craft. To look into the eyes of young rookies who come into the league not...
A sign of good things? Leon Washington Sighting at OTAs
So we have all been following the turn of events this offseason. Last week Thomas Jones showed up after holding out. This week, after a rather unique approach with his agent "tweeting" about the events daily, Leon Washington showed up for OTA's yesterday.
While they are voluntary, it is a good sign of buying in and committing to the team philosophy to show up for these...
Get Your Very Own Kendra Stripper Pole
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett is getting married to a former Playboy Playmate. She has a blog post today titled, "SHAKIN MY ASS ON THE POLE." This is not surprising.
To each his own, Hank. I'm not a marry-a-stripper/playmate kind of guy, but I
won't object to others doing it. And you know what they say, "What
happens in Vegas...
Sheldon skips OTA’s; Westbrook sits out
The entire Eagles’ roster reported for Optional Team Activities
(OTA’s) Tuesday, with one notable exception. Disgruntled cornerback
Sheldon Brown did not attend the first day of the eight day optional
camp.
Brown is unhappy with his current contract and has demanded that the
team either renegotiate his deal or trade him. Despite claims that the
Eagles would not trade him...
Eagles listed as #4 for Team's Of The Decade!!
I am personally really happy with this rank. Obviously our Eagles would be higher with a Superbowl ring, but the Eagles have been more than consistant since Andy Reid took over the team. Good job Eagles. This is the year we go over the top...

Who do you want to see as the starting QB for Gang Green this year?
At this point, we are all familiar with the rookie QB success stories from 2008 in Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan. There is much talk around town about the starting QB job and who deserves to get the shot to run things.
We have a chance to either go with a somewhat battle tested, if not proven QB in Kellen Clemens, or the highly touted top 5 draft pick rookie Mark Sanchez. They are roughly...
Ankle injury sidelines Westbrook
Neither cornerback Sheldon Brown nor running back Brian Westbrook
was on the field for the Eagles' almost-full-squad workout yesterday at
the NovaCare Complex.
Brown's ongoing ailment was his contract.
Westbrook's injury was to his right ankle, and was a new and potentially important development.
"I wish I could tell you more, but I don't know more right...
condolonces to D. Jackson
let me start with the article:
DeSean Jackson first revealed to us on April 1 that his father, Bill, had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer during the Eagles' run to the playoffs. Somehow, Jackson was able to channel his personal grief and shine in the playoffs. Against the Vikings, it was a pair of deep punt returns that helped spark the Eagles offense. In the NFC title...
Another Owl in the NFL!!
Travis Shelton became the third Temple Owl to go pro this summer. Shelton was an inspiration on the field as an incredible kick return man and a solid receiving option on long third downs. He led the NCAA for kick return average yards and has been compared to Devin Hester by Fox Sports Scout.com. Career totals : 100 returns 2507yds 2 TDs. 2008 stats : 24 returns 720yds 1td also...

Westbrook to have SURGERY!!!
I signed up for the news alerts on the Eagles website and they sent me a text message tonight at 10:40 p.m. saying "RB Brian Westbrook will have surgery on his ankle Friday in Baltimore" http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=17834
Locker Room Gets A Test In OTAs
One of the by-products of the two-week camp that begins Tuesday at the NovaCare Complex is the chance for the entire team to gather and learn just a little bit more about each other as teammates and as men. It is a time to build more chemistry and to develop a ladder of leadership in the locker room. You know this is going to be a topic throughout the season. The Eagles lost several...
NFL Labor Talks to start tomorrow !
The NFL Owners and the players association will convene tomorrow to start labor talk on a new CBA deal and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says there is no timetable to reach a new agreement. Obviously we all should be optimistic about things and see where things go from there. One of the main topics that will be discussed: would be a rookie salary scale. Stay tune more to come later.
