Torn by this one. On the one hand, I like the traffic spike. On the other hand, if I have to hear one more thing about him, I'm going to tear all my hair out and set my scalp on fire.

The Dark Knight
The Prestige is the only Christopher Nolan movie I really like. Batman Begins seemed shallow and the action scenes were badly handled. Apparently, the action in Dark Knight is even more of a mess. Maybe Heath Ledger will save it, or maybe his performance is being over-hyped because he's dead.

Reading Walter Isaacson's bio, which is now out on paperback. I have a lot in common with Einstein it turns out…except for the whole genius thing.

My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges
Not as good as "Z." Not their answer to "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot," Wilco's great bust-out album. The Prince glosses are kind of funny. Nothing grabs you like "Off the Record" or "Gideon" did. Has there been a great album in '08 yet?

A pair of new messiahs came into the world this weekend in France. Their names are Knox and Vivienne. Neither of those names are as wacky as Shiloh. The baby pictures may sell for $20 million. Good work if you can get it.

Anyone only cares about the Home Run Derby anymore. I wonder whose swing will get ruined this year.
