  Well, if that rumor is true, that's great. Haven't heard anything about it down here in Big D though. All coaches are under a gag rule not to talk to the media. I just hope they don't sell the farm just to get an LB who is only going to be good for one more year.

  It would be hard to due since the Cowboys are only 10 million under the cap and need to resighn Canty and extend Ware and others, while still signing draft picks There has also been alot of chatter having Ray going to the Jets and staying in Baltimore. Good luck with your "source". I have a source and it's my wild imagination.

    They are going to let Canty test the FA market. Yes, would be hard to do, but there is always a way to bend that cap a little with some creative contracts.

  i heard that rumor today that the Cowboys have a deal with Lewis already, I'm a ravens fan and if that is true the cowboys could get into trouble bc he isn't a free agent till friday. The deal is suppose to be 3 years 30 million plus signing bonus which the cowboys could do if they did 10 million a year. I hate to think about it but could be true... But if we loose him then thats more money we could use to try to sign a nice WR...

  rays going to cowboys because if they keep ray then reed is in the freeagent and they want to keep reed specely the great season he had every year he has more or 10 he should of had the player of the year look at him how many intercepsin in the playoffs and the reagler season he better than dion sanders almost hes not as quick as him but he chatch is evary ball the qb cahts is

  PERSONALLY I DO NOT SEE THE COWBOYS GIVING RAY LEWIS A BIG CONTRACT AT THIS STAGE OF HIS CAREER. BRADIE JAMES HAD A PRO BOWL TYPE OF YEAR AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE EVEN BETTER. I DONT THINK "BARBARA" CARPENTER IS THE ANSWER WITH ZACH OUT OF THE PICTURE BUT AT THE SAME TIME I JUST DONT SEE STEPHEN JONES SHELLING OUT THE KIND OF DOUGH IT WILL TAKE TO GET RAY. THE COWBOYS HAVE NO ROOM TO MAKE A BIG SPLASH IN FREE AGENCY THIS YEAR SO I WOULD BE SHOCKED IF THERE WAS ANY TRUTH TO THIS RUMOR.

    If they want to sign another LB , perhaps Derrick Brooks is a possiblity for one year. Who knows? Not sold on Carpenter either.
