Apparently, the defense is ahead of the offense at this stage of the offseason. Multiple sources report that the Raiders offense fumbled the ball six times in one day of camp. Considering the Raiders have been close to the bottom of the league in forcing fumbles the past few years, this is either a very good or very bad omen.

Patrick sure has been working his fingers to the bone bringing us all quite a bit of news concerning the silver and black, so he's probably got them packed in ice right now in preparation for reporting tomorrow's events as well. The Raiders did the only thing they could do with running back LaMont Jordan. They released him Friday.
The dismissal, first reported by profootballtalk.com, was confirmed by a league source this afternoon. By cutting Jordan, the Raiders did the smart thing and avoided an unnecessary training camp showdown and a potential grievance filing with the league.

Early hopes by both players and fans would be that the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs would elect to sit out the season. Unfortunately, as enough players on each team have checked in...

NAPA ? All 79 players in attendance at the Raiders training camp underwent a conditioning test Thursday morning before the team's first practice. Everyone passed, coach Lane Kiffin said.
That includes wide receiver Javon Walker, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, defensive tackle Tommy Kelly and center Jake Grove, players with an uncertain status as recently as two days ago.

As training camps begin across the league, it's time to give it up for Nnamdi Asomugha, the antithesis of what most NFL franchise players have become.
The Raiders cornerback could have followed long-standing team protocol and made himself an absolute pain in the butt the next three weeks.
