Arrowhead Addict:
Greg Wesley is a trip, isn't he. Homeboy only had his Silver and Black on for a few hours, and he's already hurt. Doesn't matter--the Raiders will likely cut him. Good ol', G-Wes. From Red Zone:
It didn't take long for newly signed safety Greg Wesley to find the training room ...

Oakland Raider News: Training camp day 2 roundup
Apparently, the defense is ahead of the offense at this stage of the offseason. Multiple sources report that the Raiders offense fumbled the ball six times in one day of camp. Considering the Raiders have been close to the bottom of the league in forcing fumbles the past few years, this is either a very good or very bad omen.
Oakland Raiders musings from the Dark Side
Wow! Patrick sure has been working his fingers to the bone bringing us all quite a bit of news concerning the silver and black, so he's probably got them packed in ice right now in preparation for reporting tomorrow's events as well. Remember Patrick, ice then heat then ice again. A bunch of stuff going on in Raider camp and it's funny how you can be excited and worried...
Raiders Release LaMont Jordan
The Raiders did the only thing they could do with running back LaMont Jordan. They released him Friday.
The dismissal, first reported by profootballtalk.com, was confirmed by a league source this afternoon. By cutting Jordan, the Raiders did the smart thing and avoided an unnecessary training camp showdown and a potential grievance filing with the league.
The Raiders told Jordan...
Oakland Raiders Eliminated from Playoffs on First Day of NFL Training Camp
As players from around the league filter in to their respective training camps, the Oakland Raiders have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention in 2008.
Early hopes by both players and fans would be that the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs would elect to sit out the season. Unfortunately, as enough players on each team have checked in...
Everyone passes Kiffin's initial test
NAPA ? All 79 players in attendance at the Raiders training camp underwent a conditioning test Thursday morning before the team's first practice. Everyone passed, coach Lane Kiffin said.
That includes wide receiver Javon Walker, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, defensive tackle Tommy Kelly and center Jake Grove, players with an uncertain status as recently as two days ago.
Asomugha...
Javon doesn't know what you're talking about
NAPA - Javon Walker talked about being robbed in Las Vegas last month.
Well, he didn't.
Those injuries in the police report (fractured jaw, orbital) were news to him.
"Ya'll telling me something new for the first time," Walker said. "... I haven't really seen nothing about it. I just let everybody go into speculations of what they heard and what...
Kiffin knows who is in charge
NAPA - Lane Kiffin knows his role.
Perhaps the offseason drama served as a figurative smack down.
Maybe Kiffin is just choosing his words carefully.
But he's making it clear: all of the weird things about being an Oakland Raider that Warren Sapp, Stuart Schweigert, Mike Lombardi, Randy Moss or any other former Raider have complained about don't fall on him and he...
Kiffin meets the press
Raiders coach Lane Kiffin met with reporters for the first time at camp Thursday afternoon. Here are some nuggets, with a blog follow-up coming after the 3-5 p.m. practice.
LaMont Jordan: Kiffin said the situation is being handled by Raiders owner Al Davis and agent Alvin Keels. Jordan is the only player on the 80-man roster who is not at camp -- because the team told him to stay...

Kelly speaks, Walker doesn't. Say what?
Javon Walker's jaw is healthy enough to speak, but he chose not to when it came to Vegas. Tommy Kelly has never spoken to an NFL reporter, but freely chose to for the first time Thursday.
Welcome to Day 1 of Raiders training camp at the Napa Valley Marriott. We'll break it into digestable chunks.
Walker: A month ago, the $55 million receiver was robbed and assaulted...
Asomugha takes the high road to camp
As training camps begin across the league, it's time to give it up for Nnamdi Asomugha, the antithesis of what most NFL franchise players have become.
The Raiders cornerback could have followed long-standing team protocol and made himself an absolute pain in the butt the next three weeks.
He could have ignored that $9.765 million exclusive franchise tender offer until September...
