Football players usually don't confess to being scared or nervous, but Justin Tuck admitted to both when talking about playing this past Sunday with a harness on his injured left shoulder."The only reason I got the opportunity to play is they told me I couldn't put myself in a situation where I could hurt it, so I pretty much went out there and played with one arm," Tuck said. "I was scared to even try to use it a little bit."Scared?"A little bit," he said. I felt it was a brand new start. Obviously I hadn't missed a game, but it just felt that way."Tuck played eight snaps, all of them at tackle and on third-down passing situations. He said as the game went on he had more confidence and wanted to play in the base defense and get a few reps at defens...

Is Brandon Jacobs Injured?

Each week, on his Blue Screen, Ralph Vacchiano has a weekly chat. One of the questions piqued my interest. What is your opinion of Jacobs right now? Do you agree with Siragusa, Johnston, (and me for that matter), that he needs to hit the holes harder? I think he needs to take 4-5 rather than worrying about bouncing things outside and trying to bust the big one. He'll bust a big one...

Tuck back at practice

Justin Tuck (partially torn labrum) was back in pads for the first time since injuring himself in the Cowboys game. Actually Flozell Adams injured him (more to come on that soon). Tuck was limited but the fact that he was back in pads is a good sign. Kevin Dockery  (hamstring) was alsos back at practice. Aaron [...]

Bradshaw now on the injury report

Ahmad Bradshaw just had the second best day of his NFL career and is playing like the best running back on the Giants roster. So of course he was the one surprise name on the pre-practice injury report today. Bradshaw is listed on the unofficial report with an “ankle/foot” injury. We’re hoping to get some more information from Tom Coughlin in a few minutes...

The following New York Giants will be wearing pink cleats on Sunday in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month: Eli Manning, Kevin Boss, Michael Boley, Mathias Kiwanuka, Domenik Hixon, Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora. Players around the league will wear the pink cleats just as Major League Baseball has certain  players use the pink bats, and [...]

RB Ahmad Bradshaw is wearing a boot on his foot because of an old ankle injury that has flaired up on him, according to Tom Coughlin. "He is not going to practice," Coughlin said Wednesday. "We expect that he will...

Giants S Phillips has knee surgery

New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips has had microfracture surgery on his left knee and will have to wait about five months before he can start to run. Phillips, who was placed on injured reserve last week with patellofemoral arthritis, had the surgery on Tuesday. "I know that the doctors felt good about it," coach Tom Coughlin said Thursday. "So we are very...

Analyst: Jacobs not using his best asset

On Saturday in Tampa, Daryl Johnston, affectionately known as “Moose” from his days playing fullback for the Cowboys, met Brandon Jacobs for the first time. Johnston, a FOX color analyst, got the chance for a sit-down with Jacobs at a production meet...

Final Thoughts on the Giants' Bludgeoning of the Buccaneers

Is there really anything more to say about the Giants’ bludgeoning of the Bucs? Probably not, but I’ll give it a try anyway. The offensive game ball goes to Ahmad Bradshaw, who gained 104 yards on 14 carries for a spectacular 7...Read the full article on Bleacher Report...

Durability hallmark of O-line

Chris Snee took a look as two members of the offensive line, Kareem McKenzie and Rich Seubert, were forced out of the game in Tampa and his initial reaction was that they were dogging it. "My take is they were just tired," said Snee, the Pro Bowl ...

New York Giants @ Kansas City Chiefs Preview: Time to Open Up the "Sea Of Red"

Going into Week Four of NFL action, the New York Giants continue to ride the soft part of their schedule. However, playing the Chiefs in Kansas City can hardly be claimed easy, considering the crowd that invades Arrowhead Stadium every Sunday...Read the full article on Bleacher Report...
