Goodbye Mr. Robinson
Very odd timing. Robinson learned that he would be cut on Christmas Eve...with only one game left on the season...and despite having a guaranteed contract. Such is life in the NFL.
Teams can pick up Robinson by using a waiver claim. If not a single team uses a claim on Robinson, he becomes a free agent on Thursday. Robinson is Ken-Griffey-Jr. fragile as this point in his career, but he's still a big red zone threat due to his height and jumping ability. It's hard to say if any team will use a waiver claim on him, but I'd imagine a number of playoff teams would be interested in him come Thursday. Purely speculation, but he'd make sense on a smaller, depleted Patriots receiving corps.
