Isn't shooting himself(Plax) punishment enough? The other guy? He's done his prison time.

I think what the commissioner is doing here is saying, "Look guys, you may think you only have the authorities to worry about, but you have me to worry about as soon as they are done with you." And I guess I have to applaud that because it's about time that these knuckleheads get it in their heads that they can't do as they please in a civilized society and not pay a stiff penalty. The only thing they truly understand is when their wallets take a hit.
-
In a way, that's very true. If they were regular schmoes working a regular job like us, they wouldn't even have a job to go back to. Like the Trumpster would say......"YOU"RE FIRED"!!!! They should feel extremely lucky to get a chance to get paid millions again.
-
nor would they be able to get decent jobs without major background checks and these incidents on their records. they're beyond lucky to get that chance.
-
I am hoping the commissioner sit him down for the year, while he contemplates his NFL future because I am truly plax's out. You hearrrd me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I understand Plax situation. But let Vick play. Maybe I'm sayin this because the Goodell annoys me. But just let Vick play.
-
I disagree with Vick: He did his your time served. Now you have the right to have any employer hire you. Plax. shot himself and should do time for an illegal fire arm. but if register its your constitutional right to bare arms

It's true that nobody is above the law, but we see famous people get away with things all the time. It seems that now they are being made to pay more often as society gets angrier and angrier. Plax will be fined heavily get community service and be on probation. The truth is that rarely does annyone do hard time for this crime unless they already have a criminal record and priors for the same offense. Look at the statistics, it's public record, I am not making this up. As far as Vick, he has done hard time and if a team is willing to take on the media circus that will swirl around him signing with another team, then he should be allowed to play. Of course Goodell will read him the riot act and advise that he will be banned from the NFL for life if he so much as jaywalks.

Ok, come on commissioner!! Continued suspension for Vick!?! You gotta be kidding me!? When convicted felons do their time, the NFL has historically allowed them the SECOND chance that society has afforded them by release from prison AFTER doing their time! It is absurd that the Commish wants to continue to punish Vick by withholding his ability to earn a living and provide financial relief to his family, and let us not forget his creditors! This is another example of THIS commissioner's own agendas and not fair to Vick. Football is a business AND a sport. This is the man's job and he happens to be qualified, gees...get over it and let the man play football. The fans and owners can then decide if he is worthy to continue based on his skills and work ethic, don't punish him AGAIN for a crime for which he has done his time according to the rules of our great American society!

They probably figure if OJ can get away with it why can't I.
