Great Camp

When I walked into the Titans facility on Thursday it finally sunk in that I'm in the NFL and this is my job now. It was pretty weird, but people actually knew who I was when I got off the plane and started walking through the airport in Nashville. It was really cool hearing people already rooting for me and welcoming me to Nashville. I couldn't wait to get to work.

I jumped on a shuttle to the facility and went with all the other players to get our physicals. I was pretty pumped to see they signed Biren Ealy as a free agent. We were teammates at Arizona before he transfered to the University of Houston. He's a really good wide receiver and it was really cool to be reunited with him.

I couldn't wait to get to work and they put us to work pretty much right away. The camp was just for rookies and guys trying out so we got a lot of reps. I was rooming with Michael Griffin, our first round draft choice out of Texas. He's a great guy. We had a 6:30 wake up call and were over to the facility by 7:00 for morning meetings. We hit the field after that. We learned five or six plays the first day and three or four after that.

Practice was roughly an hour and 45 minutes. We had only three running backs in camp, Danny Ware from Georgia and Nic Luke from Alabama A&M. It was a three man rotation so we got a lot of reps. We caught a lot of balls, went one on one with the linebackers and ran some 7 on 7. We were working right off the bat. I loved it and learned a lot.

The playbook is very extensive so I have a lot of studying to do. Getting comfortable with the playbook is the biggest hurdle at this point. One thing Coach Chow said was he wants me to be doing everything at full speed, even if I run the wrong way on a play he wants me to do it full speed. Once I get comfortable with the plays the possibilities are endless.

I didn't get to enjoy Nashville this time around. When I wasn't at practice or in meetings I was asleep at the hotel. Hopefully I can get some fishing in next time I am in town. That is definitely the plan. I know they have a lot of lakes and I heard they have one of the biggest bass fishing shops in the country. Fishing will definitely be a priority when I'm back in town. Football comes first, but I have to get some fishing in.

Welcome to Nashville. I saw your answers on Jimmy's Blog at Music City Miracles. That was great to see you take the time to respond to the questions. I think you will like the fans here because we love football. Loking forward to seeing all those long runs for TD's.

Bass Pro Shop at Opry Mills. I'm sure you'll find everything you want there. I've read your blog posts since the draft, read your answers to Jimmy's questions, read a couple articles about you, and the one thing I keep seeing over and over again is how excited you are to be coming to Nashville. I think its a great attitude to have. That attitude and your work ethic are going to prove you to be successful here in Nashville. I know I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Chris,
With the addition of you, the Titans have addressed their need at runningback, but what are they doing as far as their recieving corp? Who are their recievers that they have in camp, and do they expect to make a run at a veteran WR? I saw you say that Biren Ealy is in camp; what do you expect of him? Does he have a shot at making the roster?

Keep working hard Chris, you'll be on the field in no time.

Good luck Chris.

Hope you kick butt.

Chris,

Its great to hear you were talking on the radio. The fans are looking for some class acts out of this draft as well as quality players. I hope you enjoy Nashville and become a part of the community.

Chris,
I think I may be with Lendale White on this one. I had never heard of you either, but then again I am a SEC follower. But since you have been drafted I have been doing my research. First of all I would like to say how impressed I was with the way you handled the media when the "Lendale" question came up. I think that speaks volumes about you. I hope that you find that most of the "real" fans will be supporting you. After watching some video and some of the tivo'd combine. I can't believe that I had not heard of you. Then I started thinking. What players do you really hear about at the college level? Big school names.. Players with attitudes... and whoever else that media falls in love with. So .... the only thing else I have to say is ... Look out Mr. White. you may have wish you had never heard of him.
We hope you keep your great work ethic and your good character. Hopefully it will rub off some.

Good luck
we are rooting for u guys.

Chris, I think two of your Offensive linemen like to fish too. I've heard Jacob Bell, left guard, and David Stewart, right Tackle, both like to fish. It's always good to be in tight with your O-line :-)

I think I read that Michael Griffin fishes too.

Good Luck this year. Everyone is pulling for you.

Chris,

Congrats on being a Titan. I'm sure the Titan fans will love to see how well you catch out of the backfield; it was definitely one of your best attributes as a Wildcat. We'll miss you here in Tucson, but look forward to seeing your success with Tennessee. Bear Down!

Welcome!

I can't wait to get this show on the road. With you and Lendale we have potential for a great RB combo. Thanks for giving us some inside perspective on the Titans. Have a great season!

Congrats on becoming a Titan, Chris. Now GO GET 'EM!

CHen- you wont believe this...you havent even played a down in the NFL and already you were traded for...thats right...I traded UP to get you in our fantasy football "dynasty league" where we only draft rookies...I traded a 5th and 6th round selection to get you in the third round (only 10 teams)...so now, youre on my team for the rest of your career...run hard, finish every run with ONE MORE YARD in mind (300 carries, 300 extra yards a season! 10 years, 3000 yards extra in the career man!) Take pass blocking to heart and remember always that the coaches and their system come before personal glory, love God and your family, then football. Treat your linemen with respect and thank them for the grunt work they do while the cameras flash around you. Im already a big fan...

post some highlights on youtube.com will ya!

RUN EM OVER! COACH C

C-Hen I like your chances at getting some tick, especially with LenDale in Fisher's doghouse. Is there anyone on the Titans that is following team rules?
