Rocky will likely begin the year on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. He's a good bet to miss a few games in September and October while he gets back into midseason form and tests his reconstructed knee. He will likely play for the team in 2008, and should be a starter again, barring the possible acquisition of Lance Briggs.

Steve Spagnuolo was not offered the Redskins head coach job. He either: preferred the fat new contract offered by the Giants; or, he was a year away from head coach material. Redskins writer Anthony Brown wonders if Spags was the best fit for the Skins and says this may not be ideal for Jim Fassel, either.
