Over the next week and a half I'll be charting out the progressions of some of the Super Bowl Records. Why? Because we all want to learn. The Super Bowl Record was set and broken during each of the first three Super Bowls. First Jim Taylor rushed for 56 yards to lead the way in Super Bowl I. The next year Ben Wilson rushed for 62 yards to help the Packers take back to back titles in their Super Bowl II Victory. In Super Bowl III the Jets Matt Snell and the Colts Tom Matte became the first running backs to rush for over 100 yards but it was Snell who set the standard at 121. This record stood for 5 years until Larry Csonka rushed for 145 yards in the Dolphins Super Bowl VIII demolishion fo the Purple People Eaters. The People Eaters decided to give up even more yards the next year when Franco Harris rushed for 158 yards to lead the Steelers to their Super Bowl IX victory. This standard lasted 8 years until John Riggins rushed for 166 yards against the defenseless Dolphins...

Darren McFadden's stock slipping?

Darren went #4 overall to the Raiders; however, in Ronnie Lott's recent fantasy football draft with All Stars Helping Kinds, Darren was on-hand to watch himself slip all the way to #26. Watch as he gets drafted by legendary Hall of Fame running back, Marcus Allen, and listen for what he has to say to all of those teams who passed him up. - Dewey

All Stars Helping Kids

I got invited to a sweet event in San Fran last Friday... the All Stars Helping Kids Fantasy Football Draft. It was a good time. I met a ton of cool people and my coach and I made a lot of great contacts. My buddy Trevor even drove all day from Vegas to South Lake Tahoe to San Fran to get in on some great food and a solid DJ. Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Marcus Allen, Darren McFadden...

Coming to California

Been a couple weeks since I blogged sorry for the delay. We wrap up our workouts this week and then head to California for the Rookie Symposium Sunday. All the coaches are gone so right now we're just lifting. We'll get a small break before training camp starts in late July. I do miss California and I'm looking forward to spending a few weeks at home. I'm also planning...

Funniest man in the room: Michael Irvin

Michael Irvin wasn't the best football player in the room. He wasn't even the best at his position. But he absolutely stole the show when it came to making people laugh. Recently Yardbarker teamed up with Ronnie Lott and All Stars Helping Kids to throw a Hall of Fame fantasy football draft party. In addition to Irvin and Lott, the event played host to an additional dozen...

The record was set in Super Bowl I when Elijah Pitts had two touchdowns. This record lasted for 31 years. Along the way it was tied by Larry Csonka (VIII), Pete Banaszak (XI), Franco Harris...

Why I Think Favre Is Coming Back

Yesterday, Brett Favre made a few comments that some in the media have taken to indicate that he is not returning for another season next year. "I had a blast working with these guys. It was a lot of fun", for example. Of course, any player on any non-playoff team could have made the same comment, and it would have just been standard end-of-season wrapup talk. When Favre says it...
