How to turn your fantasy football season around

Most fantasy football advice throws out big ideas but fails to provide specifics. Part of that is because everyone's team is different. But, when the guys on ESPN's Fantasy Show say things like trade Edge or Rudi or LJ, it doesn't help unless they give a sense of what you should be looking for in return.

Anyway, this article is really no different. But, it does make the point that the author turned around his season 10 years ago by picking up an underrated Jeff George and James Jett off waivers and rode the double TD combo all the way to the postseason.

That's what I need now. There's no way the managers in my league are going to fall for the old 2 bums for 1 stud trade offer. They learned from last year. If an improvement is to be made, it's going to be made on the waiver wire. So, I've picked up Philip Rivers and Eric Parker hoping for something similar to the George-Jett connection. I'm not holding my breath, but halfway through the regular season, I'm growing desperate. Other possibilities are Kitna-Furrey, Boller-Mason, and if you're still not buckled over laughing, Gradkowski-Smith. Any other ideas?

I think this piece of advice is important "Avoid the "always start your studs theory" and take risks." This not only goes for managing your lineup, but also for trading. If you have Larry Johnson and you can still first pick in the draft value for him because he's perceived as a stud still, then move him.

That Raiders team ruled. Jeff George, James Jett, Rocket Ismail, and Tim Brown. It was hard not to like....or to like...I get that mixed up.
