Hunt the new man to block for Westbrook ??

So , with the departure of Thomas Tapeh, who is our new fullback. We only have guys at the fullback position that have never played before. But, if we look closer at our HB position we have a secret weapon. Tony Hunt standing at 6'1" 233lbs. this guy to me looks like the next A-Train. He can bouldoze over guys and he can flat out run. I think Andy Reid's draft pick came in handy for once.

Tony Hunt can't even block for Mcnabb what makes you think he will block for Westbrook. he is very poor at picking up the blitz. You saw how good LT was with lorenzo Neal we need a proven guy. Not a Running Back coming off his rookie season.

we drafted someone last year Jason Davis out of illinois

Yea, tony hunt is a bad idea for FB. As i said to the other article on here that has to do with the FB position, it is a position in which the Eagles and not many NFL teams value very much. The Eagles have Jason Davis who will be going into his 3rd year. Last training camp, the eagles said that he outplayed Tapeh but Davis didn't have a good enough knowledge of the playbook yet so they kept him on the practice squad knowing that Tapeh's contract would expire this year, therefore, it's easy to see that Davis will be the fullback this next season. According to Ike Reese on WIP, he says Davis is a good all-around FB who can block very well and catch the ball very well out of the backfield. I believe the Eagles may use a LATE draft pick on a FB just to add some competition and depth, but they WILL NOT sign a FB in free agency, it is a waste of money in my opinion, especially considering the majority of the Eagles runs are out of a single back formation. They are not a running team that plays power football and needs a top FB.

what are we gonna do with hunt then .. wait for 8
years when westbrook retires

okay idea, but if the Eagles wanna play in the Superbowl why not sign Lorenzo Neal or someone experienced like that?

I WOULD GET NEAL BUT HE IS GOING TO WANT MAD MONEY. AND SINCE WE DON'T RUN ALOT THEY WILL STICK WIT DAVIS

You can't just put a guy in a position because he has the size and think thats all he needs to be successful. A big running back does not always have the skills to play full back. You think Brandon Jacobs can just go play fullback cuz he's big. He didn't play when tiki was there last year. You need a guy who knows he's not going to touch the ball that much and he is just nasty on the field and gonna knock people heads off.
