Hey, its great they won and I hate to be negative, ya know being an Eagle fan......but....
THEY HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO IN THE BYE....
Watching the end of the cowpukes game on fox, would you feel comfortable kicking a 50 plus yard field goal to tie or win the game with Akers?..I wouldn't. The D has to pick up the run D and the receivers need to stop dropping balls. Our coach has to stop playing to not lose and learn how to play to win. Now having said all that, it was nice to see them show up in the 4th quarter for once. Still love them Birds, but lets not get carried away and think everything is fine after beating a bad 49ers team.

That bad team had the same record as we did.. so all is fair but I get what you mean, and back you up 100%..

I agree wth you filly. The Niners are a bad team. I understand they had the same record as us, but I truly believe it's the "playing not to lose" that put us in the position. 2 of our 3 losses should have been walk aways, but the play calling sucks!

Yea, thank God they won. Can you imagine the next two weeks if we lost?

Nothing wrong with being pissed at the moment. In the first half (early on) when it looked like the EAGLES were playing, I sent my brother (sad to say a 49ers fan) a text message sayin "So how are the niners doing?"
Then the EAGLES sarted to blow it. I was freaking out! Fortunately for my brother he didn't respond until after the game. At which time I was able to laugh at him, mostly for being a Niners fan!

Man, they know how to p**s us off, don't they? It seems every move Reid makes is the wrong one anymore....

Wow, Cowboys and Redskina LOSE, and we win a game that wasnt looking too good for a a bit, what a huge win going into the bye!!

and the GIANTS....maybe if Andy lets Desean in the game, and the other teams keep losing, and we address our play calling issues the rest of the season we have a chance. It was still a bad performance for 3 quarters and that game should have never been in danger of being lost. I am definately not satisified with the performance but will take the W. Things need to improve a lot for us to have a realistic chance over the bye

Your right TTC, but you can't tell me you didn't throw your remote into the wall when we came up shot on 3rd and 1 at the 50 after we just went down 23-17. I really felt this game was over and the Eagles haven't given us any reason this season to think they could come back.

gud win over a bad team, we were supossed to win this game, i'm not all that happy with this win, we played like crap at times,

so were the Boys and and Skins, but they lost.. so it is an important game...

Every game is important, especially when you have 3 losses of which 2 should have been wins. If the EAGLES want to do anything in the post season, they have to come off the bye week with a hard playing team!

All I can say is we better get some of our offense healthy during the bye week or we will not win in the future.

I won't turn down a win but this team still has problems. All this talk about a superstar WR is all well and good but before that we desperately need better tight ends. The run game (such as it is) is only effective betwen the twenties for the most part. Does anyone remember the play when LJ was picked up and thrown aside like a rag doll? His touch was great but his catches are too few and he can't handle quality DEs. The red zone game is still suspect. They could hardly move the ball against a patsy like SF inside the 20 and then the fat man goes to cute pass plays. Bucky did well but I still think we need another real running threat to share the load with Westy. Westy is not a spring chick and he seems to be getting more fragile as he gets older. Running backs can take only so much physical abuse over a career and he has been carrying the load for some years. Sure he is the best offensive threat we have when the ball is in his hands but not when he is in rehab for an injury. Lets savor the win but there is still work to be done.

I am now scared when they get down in the red zone. I have zero confidence in them. Like Donovan, but the management of the game is lacking big time. Now..how long until the defense gets tired of bailing out the offense? Buck played amazing yesterday, and DeSean will continue to improve. Is this the first year since Andy Reid is coaching that so many rookies are consistently playing? As a long time(suffering) Eagles fan, the rookies are the beginning of our future. And that is exciting.

I tend to get up-set if we're on the 30. My theory is, with the EAGLES not being able to punch one in in the red zone we should go from 30 to TD. No short yardage plays!!!
As far as being excited sbout DeSean as a rookie. I sure as hell am. I just hope Reid gives him a contract when the time comes. I know he's made a few mistakes this year, but he's a rookie and he'll learn. I think he will be a great receiver in a year or two!
