Is Braylon Edwards a Top 5 WR?

The improved offensive line and the emergence of Derek Anderson as one of the best starting quarterbacks in the NFL allowed Edwards to have 80 receptions for close to 1,300 yards and an astonishing 16 touchdowns, second to only Randy Moss in 2007. Find out why Edwards is only ranked at number ten in Ultimate FF Strategy's 2008 Wide Receiver Rankings even with everyone back in Cleveland.

I think he is. I have my concerns about the Browns' offense and whether or not last year was a fluke, but I still think this guy is the real deal and Derek Anderson's go-to receiver.

I think that everyone needs to take a better look at Derek Anderson. His passes were catchable but only because of the quality of Edwards and Winslow. Without their athleticism Anderson would have just been a average QB. He rushes in the pocket and honestly makes terrible reads. It's because of Edwards that he wasn't picked off more. I think if Edwards were on a team with a stand out QB he could possibly be THE top WR. Just watch the games, I'm not even a browns fan but the guy is a stud WR!

I have to agree. Edwards is definately a top 5 receiver. You'll see as he improves even mopre this year and then in the years to come when Brady Quinn is making passes to him. He'll be a consistent Pro Bowler.

Edwards is one of the best fantasy options this year and considering he's only 25 years old, he's only going to get better. My guess is that he will get at least 15 touchdowns this year along with 1400 yards.

Edwards has done so much in the beginning of his career, I think he's only gonna get better as he meshes even more in the league. Back to when he was in Michigan, some of the passes Henne threw to him looked impossible yet he still brought them down. I think he's gonna break records before he's finished in the league. He's got great hands and great size. He's gonna be a top 3 receiver in the league this year.

NO, IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU

CAN YOU SAY HELL YEA HELL YEA i say this year Braylon has the most TDs, second by Moss, Owens and then Wayne takes it again for yards Housh and Welker for receptions and LJ BACK IN BLACK BABY

I would have him 5th or 6th. It would be a debate between Fitz and Edwards in my mind.

i say he is , this guy is is just nasty, hes my fav. reciever in da nfl .just look at what kind of catches he makes and everything.

Seen him a few times last year,so I would say yes and he is only going to get better baring injury.l

He definately made some serious sick plays last yr. Especially in all types of playing conditions( Blizzard, rain , hot , cold ......etc ). Once he starts getting consistant numbers, he will be viewd as a top 5 reciever in the League. The same could be said for the Browns offense as a whole, if they start putting consistant improvements and build off of last yr, people will be taking the Browns seriously.

Edwards has the talent and confidence. Stallworth is going to play the other side to help with possibly more catches this year. Lets just hope there isn't a big QB problem to distract everyone.
