Is Lance Briggs A Possibility In Philadelphia?

Is Lance Briggs a possibility in Philadelphia? Could the eagles Starting Linebackers be Spikes, Gaither and Briggs with Gocong at DE? Stewart Bradley could give all of the linebackers plays off due to his size and versatility. Why has Lance Briggs been so far off everyones radar?

I like Lance Briggs but I don't think we need him, I love our linebackers right now. Chris Gocong reminds me of Shawn Merriman and I don't think he would be very productive at defensive end. I could see it happening if we were to release Takeo Spikes so we could have an amazing rotation of young linebackers.

when has gocong had 16 sacks in a season and made the all pro team?

He hasn't but his size and ability match Merriman's. The eagles didn't use him as a blitzer hardly at all last year but Jim Johnson says that will change next year and he is very excited about it.

I also like our linebackers but I was just curious what other Eagle fans think. Briggs is a productive linebacker. He had more tackles than Brian Urlacher during Chicagos Superbowl season.

Gibril Wilson is a tackling machine too.

He wouls cost too much for a position we dont need to fill... would lovbe to have him but we dont NEED him

We don't need Considine. And Mikell has to spell Dawkins to kep him fresh. Let Wilson get 100 tackles and let Dawkins focus on big plays.

The Iggs would never pay that much for a LB. Remeber they let Trotter go to the Skins for that very reason.

never happen...ever

Briggs is not worth the money, he should have gotten his big pay day last year because he will not get that much money this year.

briggs is not on the radar b/c the eagles have other needs other than LB

no thats all that needs to be said

too much money for a position were STACKED at

highly doubtful plus...if you haven't realized by now....the eagles dont give a fuck about linebackers, they don't find the position that important

Its not that they don't find it important but they always raft linebackers well and usually don't need to adreess it. anyway it appears Lance Briggs will probably land in Tampa Bay. Story over.

he re-signed with the bears
