Tarvaris Jackson is expected to be the backup again to starting quarterback Brett Favre. Vikings coach Brad Childress has said he wants to evaluate Jackson and veteran Sage Rosenfels during the practice week before designating a backup and third quarterback. Jackson played four snaps last week, when the Vikings had firm control of the win in Cleveland, and threw one incomplete pass. One thought: Could this be the week the Vikings use their version of the Wildcat offense? If so, Jackson would be an ideal quarterback for that package, because of his athleticism.
