It seems apparent that Kelley Washington has established himself as the No. 3 receiver behind starters Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton. I kept an eye on Pro Bowl outside linebacker Terrell Suggs last night, and even though he only played a half, he was impressive. He made several outstanding plays, and some of them came against Atlanta's first-team offense.

This game was the best argument yet against four preseason games. Should've been a controlled scrimmage. Actually, it was a controlled scrimmage. Ravens coach John Harbaugh was taking no chances with regulars and used the game for its truest purpose -- settling the roster.

Ravens third-string quarterback John Beck said he felt rusty at the start of Thursday’s preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons. It would be understandable considering he had hadn’t started a game since his rookie season in 2007, didn’t see any game action all last year and played only four series for the Ravens this preseason. Understandable, that is, if he showed any rust.
