Jones interested in Philly?

ESPN is reporting that Julius Jones is considering making a free agent visit to Philadelphia. My only question is if there is any interest on the Eagle's side. I can't imagine we'd want another small back.

..."Jones, widely considered the top running back left on the free-agent market, has visited Detroit, Tennessee and Seattle. He's also considering trips to Chicago and Philadelphia, according to John Clayton.

With starting running back Kevin Jones coming off knee surgery, the Lions are looking for insurance at the position. The Seahawks might be looking to phase out Shaun Alexander and feature a running back duo of Jones and T.J. Duckett, who was signed recently.

In four seasons with Dallas, Jones rushed for 3,484 yards on 885 carries..."

It says Cowboys...where does it say Philly?

My bad I didnt mean to say Cowboys, but I read on NFL.com he was interested in the Lions, not philly. I doubt he has us in mind, or we have him in mind.

I'll post their entire article. I forgot you can't view it if you're not an ESPN insider.

Cool, I'd like to see it, because I read different on NFL.com yesterday, and posted it. But things change fats in this league, but I just cant see him here.

Why would Philly need Jones? They have the best all-around back in the NFC right now. Doesn't make any sense. I know he's visiting Seattle today. He's going all over to see if anyone wants his services.

Please do not let this be true. We don't need a running back with 4.4 speed but no vision to ever use it. All he does is run up the backs of his offensive line.

Haha I couldn't agree more. If we had any interest in a Dallas RB, I would hope it'd be Barber.

we got what we need at RB and that brain westbrooks... we need is a WR or a younger OL

we could use another running back to take some of the load off westbrook and for that game or 2 he'll miss every season....but its not jones.

nothing wrong with looking at Julius but i doubt they will sign him..... westbrook/hunt/buck/ i think Moats gets cut this year anyway...

i agree that there is no harm in looking at him, but they won't waste money on him, considering he will demand a bigger contract because he wants to try and start somewhere and the eagles need the cap room for other positions. Westbrook/Hunt/Buck are what they have now and thats fine. I see them possibly drafting a RB in later rounds possibly.

I don't think he'd command much money, nor do I think starting is a huge issue for him. Look at the teams listed...they all have running backs and are looking for depth and insurance.

doesnt matter any more ... jones is a seahawk.. not much of a news story in this one

i like jones in detroit hes a good fit there and that would elevate them to even higher status. oh and DTRIK19 u forget about buckhalter guys pretty good when healthy and we just jot Hunt were set at RB go get me Phitzy
